Fruits of the Spirit.
Got this through the email. I am just so amazed, what do I choose? Where do I stand. I choose the same as the author and I stand with God, may it be so with you as well. Press on dear Christian, when the times are hard, for God is always near. "For with God nothing shall be impossible." Luke 1:37.
It's quiet. It's early. My coffee is hot. The sky is still black. The world is still asleep. The day is coming.
In a few moments the day will arrive. It will roar down the track with the rising of the sun. The stillness of the dawn will be exchanged for the noise of the day. The calm of the solitude will be replaced by the pounding pace of the human race. The refuge of the early morning will be invaded by decisions to be made and deadlines to be met.
For the next twelve hours I will be exposed to the day's demands. It is now that I must make a choice. Because of Calvary, I'm free to choose. And so I choose.
I choose love...
No occasion justifies hatred; no injustice warrants bitterness, I choose love. Today I will love God and what God loves.
I choose joy...
I will invite my God to be the God of circumstance. I will refuse the temptation to be cynical... the tool of the lazy thinker. I will refuse to see people as anything less than human beings, created by God. I will refuse to see any problem as anything less than an opportunity to see God.
I choose peace...
I will live forgiven. I will forgive so that I may live.
I choose patience...
I will overlook the inconveniences of the world. Instead of cursing the one who takes my place, I'll invite him to do so. Rather than complaining that the wait is too long, I will thank God for a moment to pray. Instead of clenching my fist at new assignments, I will face them with joy and courage.
I choose kindness...
I will be kind to the poor, for they are alone. Kind to the rich, for they are afraid. And kind to the unkind, for such is how God has treated me.
I choose goodness...
I will go without a dollar before I take a dishonest one. I will be overlooked before I will boast. I will confess before I will accuse. I choose goodness.
I choose faithfulness...
Today I will keep my promises. My debtors will not regret their trust. My associates will not question my word. My loved ones will not question my love. And my children will never fear that their parent will not come home.
I choose gentleness...
Nothing is won by force. I choose to be gentle. If I raise my voice, may it be only in praise. If I clench my fist, may it be only in prayer. If I make a demand, may it be only of myself.
I choose self-control...
I am a spiritual being. After this body is dead, my spirit will soar. I refuse to let what will rot, rule the eternal. I choose self-control. I will be drunk only by joy. I will be impassioned only by my faith. I will be influenced only by God. I will be taught only by Christ. I choose self-control.
Love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. To these I commit my day. If I succeed, I will give thanks. If I fail, I will seek His grace. And then when this day is done, I will place my head on my pillow and rest.

Harlow all, amazing how times just fly by these past few weeks. Guess things are going to just get busier and busier! So thought I better drop a note for now to all of you. Don't know when I will have the time to get to post again, will try though.
Dan: Labour Day, is a day to labour hard! Hahaha, especially after spending like 15 to 16 hours straight, even going home is a challenge, but thank God for understanding bosses. Managed to complete the task at hand. So everyday is labour day! :"P Do get enough rest yourself, looking forward to meeting the rest of your team once you got them organised.
Ah Cat: 3rd of June... Yeah D-Day for me, still got lots of things to finish preparing. God grant me the wisdom and the strength. Hopefully things get better. Trust that you are enjoying your studies! Thanks for your prayers, really appreciate it. Without prayers and without God, all would have been lost. Take good care and hope to see you on Sunday! :"P

Prayer and Forgiveness
Was truly blessed today by this following passage from Mark 11:22 ~ 26. "And Jesus answering saith unto them, Have faith in God. For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith. Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them. And when ye stand praying, forgive, if ye have ought against any: that your Father also which is in heaven may forgive you your trespasses. But if ye do not forgive, neither will your Father which is in heaven forgive your trespasses."
There is just so much truth in this passage, firstly faith in prayer. How many times do we pray but never truly believing in what we are praying? O Christian, do examine your prayer life. Are you praying because you want to fulfill another work item in your life? Another to do item? Is your prayer life one that is really begging, yes begging God for mercy on the life of others or is it an avenue for you to ask of God for your wants as you would have asked from a genie? O Christian, let us not kid God. God is not a genie. He is not here to fulfill your wants in life. Pray for the things that will please Him, and when you pray, believe. So that you will be an effective prayer warrior for God.

Are you praying because you want to fulfill another work item in your life? Another to do item? Forgiveness of others. How many times are we so unforgiving for what others have done for us? We want to repay others for what they did, oh yes. If they do this and this again, I am going to get them. Give them first a yellow card then the next time a red card and they are out of my life. Is that what we learn? Imagine God using the same system on us. We will be have long gone. Oh, let us not keep accounts with what others have done. Let go and let God. The past is the past. Let us not rake up the old ghosts of the past and debate about it. We live for the present and push for a better future.
May your life be a life that will be effective in prayer and forgiving to others so that we may be the light of the world and pointing others to God.
