Help Thou Mine Unbelief

Another week just zipped past like that! Busy, busy, busy and this is only the beginning! :O Well, we can do all things through God who strengthen us! Do not worry, but trust God, for that is the true way to peace that surpass all understanding! :"P

Was very encouraged by this verses from Mark 9:23 ~ 24, "Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth. And straightway the father of the child cried out, and said with tears, Lord, I believe; help thou mine unbelief." Help us Lord our unbelief, may we push back the gates of Hell, leading a life that will have a impact on others, that others will see and know that Jesus Christ is the Lord.

No matter where we are, no matter what we do, let us take a stand for God. Be not ashamed and shine brightly, dear Christian so that your life may point others to Christ. Too many people who talk but not walk, let us walk the talk. This is the meaning of life, this is what it means to be a Christian, we are here to be a good testimony to all those that is around us. By impacting them for the better, we will be storing up treasures that are eternal, not the material possessions on earth which will rust and corrupt.

"And he sat down, and called the twelve, and saith unto them, If any man desire to be first, the same shall be last of all, and servant of all." Mark 9: 35. The church is a place that ought to be different, we do not fight to be the first, to whom more has been given, more shall be required. If you are in a position of leadership, remember you are the to serve, not to lord over others. Examine your lives and follow the example of Christ.

May we find favor in God's eyes always. Do not put up an act. For whatsoever a man sow, he shall also reap. Be an example to all that is around you. Watch your heart.

Godsis: Hey, no problem about it, just thought that it was a good article. Being a self proclaimed Christian does not make you a saint. Only the person will know if he/she is truly born again Christian. Who is a Christian? Not one who goes to church or read the Bible, but one who truly believe that Jesus Christ is the way, the truth and the life and no man come unto the Father but through Christ.

Dan: Good to take breaks from time to time, we are human not robots and even robots needs maintence or stands the chance of breaking down beyond repair. Good to have you come by, do pop by more often. Will definitely be posting when I have the chance to do so, the schedule was incredible the past week! :O Press on and keep shining for God.

Marcus: Thanks for the sharing on Friday too, I think it was very, very, very well done. Praise God from whence all blessing flow. May you continue to draw near to Him, not forsaking your first love. Be an example of the believers, in word and in conduct. Be steadfast in love, in faith, in purity of life! Fight a good fight and run a good race, Marcus.

Cherie: It was nice seeing you too and getting to spend some time chatting with you. It is amazing how time flies and how busy our schedules can be. Do continue to press on for God in all that you do. May you glorify Him in all your actions. Stand within the gap and make in difference in the lives of all who come in contact with, remembering what Christ has done to redeem us.

Priss: Hi there, it has been a long time since we last chat. Well, it was never right to mix the state and religion per se, as Christ said, "Render therefore unto Caesar the things which are Caesar's; and unto God the things that are God's." Matthew 22:21. Priss, if you truly want to seek what is right and truth, the truth will set you free. Do not mix Christian with Catholics. :"P

Got this through the Mail...

Greetings to all, been a little drained these days, but got something off the mail, which I thought will be beneficial to you all, so here it is. Enjoy and press on for God. Thank God for whence all blessings flow for His grace is sufficient for us all!

WHERE IS GOD?

- A REFLECTION AFTER COLUMBINE CARNAGE….

- NOBODY LISTENED, NOBODY CARED, NOBODY EVEN DARED TO READ…

-NOW, IT HAPPENED AGAIN IN VIRGINIA TECH….

On Thursday, Darrell Scott, the father of Rachel Scott, a victim of the Columbine High School shootings in Littleton , Colorado , was invited to address the House Judiciary Committee's sub-committee. What he said to our national leaders during this special session of Congress was painfully truthful. They were not prepared for what he had to say, nor was it received well.

It needs to be heard by every parent, every teacher, every politician, every sociologist, every psychologist, and every so-called expert! These courageous words spoken by Darrell Scott are powerful, penetrating, and deeply personal. There is no doubt that God sent this man as a voice crying in the wilderness.

The following is a portion of the transcript:

Since the dawn of creation there has been both good &evil in the hearts of men and women. We all contain the seeds of kindness or the seeds of violence. The death of my wonderful daughter, Rachel Joy Scott, and the deaths of that heroic teacher, and the other eleven children who died must not be in vain. Their blood cries out for answers.

The first recorded act of violence was when Cain slew his brother Abel out in the field. The villain was not the club he used. Neither was it the NCA, the National Club Association. The true killer was Cain, and the reason for the murder could only be found in Cain's heart.

In the days that followed the Columbine tragedy, I was amazed at how quickly fingers began to be pointed at groups such as the NRA. I am not a member of the NRA. I am not a hunter. I do not even own a gun. I am not here to represent or defend the NRA - because I don't believe that they are responsible for my daughter's death. Therefore I do not believe that they need to be defended. If I believed they had anything to do with Rachel's murder I would be their strongest opponent.

I am here today to declare that Columbine was not just a tragedy-it was a spiritual event that should be forcing us to look at where the real blame lies! Much of the blame lies here in this room. Much of the blame lies behind the pointing fingers of the accusers themselves. "I wrote a poem just four nights ago that expresses my feelings best. This was written way before I knew I would be speaking here today":

Your laws ignore our deepest needs,
Your words are empty air.
You've stripped away our heritage,
You've outlawed simple prayer.

Now gunshots fill our classrooms,
And precious children die.
You seek for answers everywhere,
And ask the question "Why?"

You regulate restrictive laws,
Through legislative creed.
And yet you fail to understand,
That God is what we need!

Men and women are three-part beings. We all consist of body, soul, and spirit. When we refuse to acknowledge a third part of our make-up, we create a void that allows evil, prejudice, and hatred to rush in and wreak havoc. Spiritual presences were present within our educational systems for most of our nation's history. Many of our major colleges began as theological seminaries. This is a historical fact.

What has happened to us as a nation? We have refused to honor God, and in so doing, we open the doors to hatred and violence. And when something as terrible as Columbine's tragedy occurs - politicians immediately look for a scapegoat such as the NRA. They immediately seek to pass more restrictive laws that contribute to erode away our personal and private liberties. We do not need more restrictive laws.

Eric and Dylan would not have been stopped by metal detectors. No amount of gun laws can stop someone who spends months planning this type of massacre. The real villain lies within our own hearts. Political posturing and restrictive legislation are not the answers. The young people of our nation hold the key.

There is a spiritual awakening taking place that will not be squelched!

We do not need more religion. We do not need more gaudy television evangelists spewing out verbal religious garbage. We do not need more million dollar church buildings built while people with basic needs are being ignored. We do need a change of heart and a humble acknowledgment that this nation was founded on the principle of simple trust in God!"

As my son Craig lay under that table in the school library and saw his two friends murdered before his very eyes-He did not hesitate to pray in school.

I defy any law or politician to deny him that right! I challenge every young person in America , and around the world, to realize that on April 20, 1999, at Columbine High School prayer was brought back to our schools. Do not let the many prayers offered by those students be in vain. Dare to move into the new millennium with a sacred disregard for legislation that violates your God-given right to communicate with Him.

To those of you who would point your finger at the NRA - I give to you a sincere challenge. Dare to examine your own heart before casting the first stone!

My daughter's death will not be in vain! The young people of this country will not allow that to happen!

Here are also a video which I find to be very encouraging:

Dan: Are you Daniel from the Levities? Didn't know you would come online to view everyone's blog! :O Thanks for popping by. Was studying then thought I never have the opportunity to view many others' blog for a very long time, so decided to take a break and take a tour. Didn't realised at the end of it all, the break lasted over an hour! :"P Thank God from whence all blessings flow.

Jean: Nay, didn't do much, just bringing my 2 fishes and 5 loaves to everyone, you have been a great blessing to! Glad to see you serving for God in so many areas. Your life have been an encouragement and blessing to. Will definitely keep in contact with you. Will also see if I can make it for the HC concert. Truth to be told, I would very much like to go but am too tied down these days. :"(

Dan: Well, getting the rest here and there I guess, thank God for the strength and the time and for all of you around me. You have been a great blessing to me. Thanks for the verse. Yup, only with God can we do the impossible. Do take good care of yourself and have sufficient rest. Everyone of us need a break from time to time, yeah? Press on for God and God alone.

Eric: Nice to have to dropping by, no worries about the comments, glad to see you do exactly the same, you have been a great encouragement to everyone in the Uth. Rest

It is amazing how time just seem to fly by so fast. Time and tide indeed waits for no man. Have you been spending your time wisely? I do hope you have for we are to be good stewards of all things that we have and that, my friend, includes time.

Was doing my daily readings and this verse from Mark 6:31 struck me, "And he said unto them, Come ye yourselves apart into a desert place, and rest a while: for there were many coming and going, and they had no leisure so much as to eat." This was spoken by Jesus to the disciples after they have labored.

Even as we labor, we need to rest. It never ceases to amaze me how the life of a Christian is that of balance, there is a time and place for everything. We need to strike that balance. Even in our busy life, we need to take care of our health. It is not about constant service to God such that our health suffers for we are to be good stewards, neither should we neglect our family for we are placed in that family to be a blessing to them.

Let us strike that balance for God. In all things we do may we do it for the glory of God and God alone, looking not unto man, be they leaders, but only unto God because we are redeemed by Jesus.

Indeed sometimes, the most holy answer maybe a no. Do ponder about that, dear Christian. Don't be burn out until you are dead.

Ad maiorem Dei gloriam.

James: Harlow James! Nice of your to come by, you have been a great encouragement to me as well. Thank God for everything, for God is the one who provides all things, so much so that even before we ask things are set in motion for Him to answer our prayers. "And it shall come to pass, that before they call, I will answer" Isaiah 65:24. I didn't do anything much, all praise is to God and God alone. Looking forward to more opportunities to serve together with you.

Stop Acting!

Yet another wonderful day have passed, may we be good stewards of our time. In all that we do may we glorify, glorify God! For our God is a strong and mighty God with whom nothing, absolutely nothing is impossible!

How lovely to know God will never leave us nor forsake us, He will be with us always! Press on all who are weak and heavy laden! Have man disappoint you? Are troubles overwhelming? Then look to God, the Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end, the everlasting God!

Was reading on Mark 3:4, "And he saith unto them, Is it lawful to do good on the sabbath days, or to do evil? to save life, or to kill? But they held their peace." Oh how sad when I read that. These people who are suppose to be leaders of God's people, yet oh how blind they are. Instead of realising that Jesus is the Messiah sent to save their souls from damnation, they are trying to trap Jesus to see if he will do good on a Sabbath.

Let us not be hypocrites, serving ourselves. Examine yourself dear Christian, are you a good example? Or are you wearing masks? Saying things that are nice for others to hear so that they will endear you to themselves? Speak the truth! Make a stand for God and not serve yourself and all those selfish interest. Are you a servant of God, serving the the people with a love for the people or are you this mighty lord who is ruling and reigning over the people of God?

Why are you serving? Why are you leading? Let us examine our motives. Who do we serve God or ourselves? Let not our works be filthy rages and wood, hay and stubble that will be burnt by God's refining fire. Serve God for God alone. Don't wear a smile but conceal a knife behind yourself.

Let us get it right. We serve not man, for man will fail you, but we serve the almighty living God! Whatever you do may you do all things for the glory of God. May revival break out when we have realised the wrongs we have done and gotten right with God. Restore unto us the joy of our salvation.

Acta non verba.

Always look at God and not at man. Press onward, good Marcus. I am sure God will use you mightily for His work as long as you are fully surrendered to Him, living in total dependence of God and God alone. :"P

Chance? No way!

Another week have gone past, may not have been the most productive one but think it was a good break. Thank God from whence all blessings flow! :"P

Was reading the Gospel of Mark and this particular verse from Mark 2:17, "When Jesus heard it, he saith unto them, They that are whole have no need of the physician, but they that are sick: I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance."

Thank God that he came to save sinners like you and me, may we always remember the goodness of God, how He came to save us who are lost and dead in our sins. There was no way we could save ourselves apart from God and God alone.

If God will die to save our souls, will He not see us through each day of our lives? Nothing happens by chance, the people you meet, the family you are in, the school you went through, the workplace you are at. Everything have its purpose, how the prayer is answer, there is a purpose too.

Let us look up always to God and not to man. For man will fail but God never! All praise to our God who is the same yesterday, today and forever. Press on Christian!

Ah Cat: Harlow Cat! Thanks for popping by again! :"P You press on too! Glad to see you coming both Saturday and Sunday! You have been a great encouragement. Continue to be the pillar of strength and support for God. May God continue to direct you in your life, that Jesus will always be seen in you! :"P

Godsis: Comments section? Whose? Yours or mine? Remembered yours always go around eating my comments. Anyway, tagboard is better as I can monitor it more efficiently! :"P Cartoon pictures reflects either my mood or the mood of the passage. Makes the place more homely! Don't you think? Blessed weekend to you as well! :"P

Christine: Thanks for your concern. Apparently you are not the first person to comment on that. Hmmm... Have been eating regularly and in huge amounts. Just don't know where all the food go to... :"( Thanks for popping by and coming on Saturday! Do take good care of yourself too! Praying for you! :"P

Great Commission

Yet another week is drawing to a close, thank God for this week! Let us be watchful always and be reminded of our purpose here on earth.

"And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen." Matthew 28: 18 ~ 20.

Think the passage is a very beautiful description of our purpose here, the meaning of our life is to seek the things that are eternal, seeking first the kingdom of God. Let us live a life that is of purpose and remember the word of God that we will lead a life that is pleasing to Him. Remember that man sees the outside but God sees the heart!

Good Stewards

Thank God for yet another brand new day. May we always be mindful of what have done in our lives and be thankful. Let us always be good stewards of our time and our talent, to whom much have been given more shall be required.

"His lord said unto him, Well done, thou good and faithful servant: thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord." Matthew 25:21. The passage touched on the parable of the talents. Let us be faithful in all that we have, our time, our money, our abilities. Strike a balance in life and do everything for God.

"And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me." Matthew 25:40. Let us not forget those who are the lost, the last and the least. Remember that man sees the outside but our God sees the heart.

Let us be good stewards for the glory of God. Was just reminded of the time in Philippines and here was a video taken then, how fast time had past. Make me a stranger on this earth, keeping my focus on heavenly treasures and not on earthly pleasures.

Hope this song will be an encouragement to you as well.

Only you my Friend
Can make my day
feeling so complete
Every moment is filled with happiness
As long as you are near
For all the people around
You are the nearest I have found
You are always special to me.

Nothing else is greater than
the friendship that we have
You mean everything to me.
I could never pretend
that I will love you until the end
You are always special to me.

Be Watchful...

Good morning and good day to one and all, another amazing week have gone past! Thank God for His faithfulness to us guiding us in every step of our way. May we honor God in all that we do, that we will not bring any shame to His name. Let us always be thankful to God, always.

Was reading Matthew 24 and was particularly struck by the passage from Matthew 24:45 ~ 46. "Who then is a faithful and wise servant, whom his lord hath made ruler over his household, to give them meat in due season? Blessed is that servant, whom his lord when he cometh shall find so doing."

Let us be faithful and not take things for granted, whatever we have, may we be good stewards over them. Remember that to whom much has given, much more shall be required. Let us serve the Lord our God only, not because we have to but because we want to. We know not when will be the second coming, so let us always be watchful. "Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come." Matthew 24:42.

Press on, be watchful for one another and of your own deeds, being a faithful and wise servant to God.

Marcus: Yup, remember we can have the faith faith because of what Jesus Christ have done for us almost 2,000 years back. He died and rose again, defeating death, so that we may have everlasting life. May you continue to serve the Lord with gladness, looking to God and God alone. Was told the character is known as "Onion", glad you liked them! :"P

Jean: No worries, it is my pleasure to see you back, hope you are feeling much better now? Didn't managed to catch you on Saturday, err... promising over the tagboard is a very interesting place to promise! :O No worries about that night as well. Thank God we see how God always answers prayer. May your faith be strengthen even further! Press on.

Iris: Thank God that the post have been encouraging to you! Yup, absolutely nothing is impossible with God, because with God all things are possible. Even man may falter and fall, God is always faithful! God has not given us a spirit of fear but the strength to obey. Let us always obey his commandments! Just trying to make things more lively lah! :"P

Marcus: Thanks for your example among the Uth, may you continue to be faithful, be working, be running, be serving, be searching His word for His best! Look to God for encouragement, Jesus have lived an example for us to follow, let us continue to be a blessing to all around us, you have been a blessing to me! May honor and glory be to God forever and ever!

Power of Prayer

Thank God for giving us yet another wonderful and beautiful day, seeing how the sun shines in today and living to see it. Let us be thankful for all the things that God have done in our lives, that we will appreciate all the things that God have given us.

Was reading Matthew 21:21 ~ 22, "Jesus answered and said unto them, Verily I say unto you, If ye have faith, and doubt not, ye shall not only do this which is done to the fig tree, but also if ye shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; it shall be done. And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive."

The power of prayer, how closely it is related to faith. Without faith we cannot be an effective prayer warrior, we have to pray and remember who we are praying to, God! Nothing just any mere man, but the creator God who made the heavens and the earth, are there any problems that will be too big for him? Absolutely not!

Let us come to him laying down all our cares and worries to Him, we can do nothing but with God all things are possible, for indeed God's yoke is easy and God's burden is light. Let us not struggle anymore with life but look towards God who is the author and finisher of our faith. God, how wonderful and beautiful, name above all names, exalted high!

May we fight a good fight and run a good race. Press on, dear Christian!

Leadership

Another wonderful new day and week! Past week have been an extraordinary week in terms of things learn and work completed! Thank God really for guiding me past all these days, 9 more weeks, ladies and gentlemen! Determination!

Was especially struck by this passage, Matthew 20:25 ~ 28. "But Jesus called them unto him, and said, Ye know that the princes of the Gentiles exercise dominion over them, and they that are great exercise authority upon them. But it shall not be so among you: but whosoever will be great among you, let him be your minister; And whosoever will be chief among you, let him be your servant: Even as the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many."

May we remember why we are called to serve, to lead with humility, not to lord with pride. Let's be a blessing to those around us, let the past hurts go. May we always be mindful of what the Lord have first done for us, do we count ourselves greater? May it not be so.

Serve the Lord with gladness.

A few more days, 2 in fact? Do continue to press on for God in everything you do that all glory may be to God and God alone.

Marcus: I am game anytime, I am sure Baron will get more busy but he definitely will come out so will Princess I think. Come to think of it all 3 of us are in the Levities, maybe you should consider as well! :"P Probably after the 3rd of June. Very hectic these days as well! Thanks for being a blessing and encouragement to me!
