Beautiful Savior!
Was reading Matthew 17 and 2 verses from Matthew 17:20 ~ 21 really touched me, "And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you. Howbeit this kind goeth not out but by prayer and fasting."
Do we know we are in a war? " For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms." Ephesians 6:12. Let us not forget! May we never stop praying and fasting.
From whence our help come? "I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. My help cometh from the LORD, which made heaven and earth." Psalms 121:1 ~ 2.
Let us have faith, faith not on ourselves but faith on God. With that faith, will we be able to tend do great and mighty deeds for God! Let us press onward to higher ground and push back the gates of hell!
Was listening to this song, titled Beautiful Savior. Indeed, how wonderful and how beautiful is our Lord God! Hope it will be a blessing to you as well!

Let us Not be Defiled!
Since then, have been proceeding along the book of Matthew and in the verse in Matthew 15:11, really touched me. "Not that which goeth into the mouth defileth a man; but that which cometh out of the mouth, this defileth a man." Let's watch the things that we say, that we will not be defiled and in word and in conduct we will be a good example.
"But those things which proceed out of the mouth come forth from the heart; and they defile the man. For out of the heart proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, blasphemies: These are the things which defile a man: but to eat with unwashen hands defileth not a man." Matthew 15: 18 ~ 20. Is this not very true? Let us guard our heart that we will not lead a live that displeases God.
O Christian, press on to higher ground. Look towards God and not towards man. Let's push back the gates of hell!

Ah Cat: Nice of you to drop by. Thanks for being such a good encouragement and blessing to all of us. Continue to be a good testimony wherever you go. May God continue to use you mighty, helping others and drawing them to God. May revival break out in the Uth minstry. Take heart and be of good courage! :"P

Weak and Heavy Laden?
"Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light."
It is amazing how the verse is structured. Firstly we are to come if we have realised that we have laboured and are heavy laden. Do you feel as such? That the world have been offering you nothing but empty promises? Nothing from the world seem to satisfy you, everything that we achieved, we just needed some more. Everything we have there is always more. When will it ever end?
Only way? Come to Jesus and Jesus will give us rest.
However, is that all? That we need not labour anymore? We need not do anything? Not so, but Jesus knows what is best for us, there will still be troubles and tribulations but God will guide us, whatever happens it will not be beyond our Savior from leading us out of the situation, we just need to trust God.
"I will lift up mine eyes unto the hills, from whence cometh my help. My help cometh from the LORD, which made heaven and earth." Psalms 121:1 ~ 2.
Oh Christian, look unto the hills and see, our help comes from God who is the same yesterday, today and forever, the creator God who made the heaven and the earth! Take heart and be of good courage.
Will you come to Jesus today?

Jean: Haven't have the pleasure of speaking to you for quite sometime. Duties and responsibilities require me to be elsewhere, hope you are enjoying yourself in the new environment. To everything there is a season, to everything there is time, for every purpose under heaven, there is a time a proper time.

Hope you are doing fine. Continue to press on for God. Remember our God is the same, yesterday, today and forever! On to higher ground.

Faith.
"The centurion answered and said, Lord, I am not worthy that thou shouldest come under my roof: but speak the word only, and my servant shall be healed. For I am a man under authority, having soldiers under me: and I say to this man, Go, and he goeth; and to another, Come, and he cometh; and to my servant, Do this, and he doeth it. When Jesus heard it, he marvelled, and said to them that followed, Verily I say unto you, I have not found so great faith, no, not in Israel."
Just a brief introduction on the Roman Army at that point of time and what it takes to be a centurion, this is taken from http://www.bbc.co.uk/schools/romans/army.shtml, "The Roman Army was made up of men from all over the Empire, no women were allowed to join. These men were professional soldiers whose only job was to fight and defend Rome. Initally only property owners such as farmers could serve in the army, but from the 1st century B.C. onwards anybody could join. These soldiers would have to stay in the army for at least 25 years! If a soldier was brave, clever and fought well he could become a centurion in charge of 80 ordinary soldiers called legionaries. Each troop of about 80 legionaries was called a century.
It is just amazing, the faith of the centurion, how many of us have that faith to just trust God? All we need is God's word and is that not enough? Certainly it was enough for the centurion, is it enough for you?

Ask, Seek and Knock!
"Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened." Matthew 7:7 ~ 8. What a beautiful passage, we have not because we ask not! Let us ask and pray. Battles are won on the knees! May we push back the gates of hell!
"Or what man is there of you, whom if his son ask bread, will he give him a stone? Or if he ask a fish, will he give him a serpent? If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children, how much more shall your Father which is in heaven give good things to them that ask him?" Matthew 7:9 ~ 11. God knows our needs, God will indeed provide for them, let us always look to God and not our present troubles that we have. God will lead and guide us through. My Jesus Christ the Lamb of God.
Will you pray and ask of God?

Don't Worry, God is in Control and God Makes no Mistakes!
In Matthew 6:9 ~ 13, we have the famous prayer that the Lord taught the people, how to pray. Then in Matthew 6:14 ~ 15, it is emphasized on the importance of forgiveness. "For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you: But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses." Let us forgive others, remember how God have been merciful to us in the first place.
The subsequent passage has always been an encouragement to me. This is from Matthew 6:25 ~ 34.
"Therefore I say unto you, Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on. Is not the life more than meat, and the body than raiment? Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns; yet your heavenly Father feedeth them. Are ye not much better than they? Which of you by taking thought can add one cubit unto his stature? And why take ye thought for raiment? Consider the lilies of the field, how they grow; they toil not, neither do they spin: And yet I say unto you, That even Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith? Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed? (For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things. But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you. Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof."
Why do we worry? Is there anything that can be accomplished from worrying? Absolutely nothing at all. Who do we trust? Is not the God our God the creator of the heavens and the earth? Always remember God is in control and God makes no mistakes. Nothing happens by chance, let us just do our best for God, always seeking God first in our lives.
May we live our lives for God and God alone.

Levites!
Was reading this passage from Malachi 2:4 ~ 7. "And ye shall know that I have sent this commandment unto you, that my covenant might be with Levi, saith the LORD of hosts. My covenant was with him of life and peace; and I gave them to him for the fear wherewith he feared me, and was afraid before my name. The law of truth was in his mouth, and iniquity was not found in his lips: he walked with me in peace and equity, and did turn many away from iniquity. For the priest's lips should keep knowledge, and they should seek the law at his mouth: for he is the messenger of the LORD of hosts."
Was reminded again what it was to be a Levite and why the name Levities was chosen for the Uth Ministry outing planning group and there was a short article sent out to all the Levites which I would post here.
Think names are very important as it will significant who we are and what the group is trying to achieve. Thus the name Levities. Just a bit of history from wikipedia, "In the Jewish tradition, a Levite is a member of the Hebrew tribe of Levi. The Levites were the only one of the Israelite tribes who received cities but no tribal land when Joshua led the Israelites into the land of Canaan. The Tribe of Levi served particular religious duties for the Israelites and had political responsibilities as well. In return, the landed tribes were expected to give tithe to the Levites."
For us as we come out to serve, we are being set apart to fulfill this task ahead of us, let our service be as an offering to God, "And Aaron shall offer the Levites before the LORD for an offering of the children of Israel, that they may execute the service of the LORD." Number 8:11.
When Israel sin in the wilderness and Aaron made the molten image, who was on the Lord's side? "Then Moses stood in the gate of the camp, and said, Who is on the LORD's side? Let him come unto me. And all the sons of Levi gathered themselves together unto him." Exodus 32:26. May we be set apart and be as a living sacrifice for God. The road ahead is not going to be easy as we will be organizing the events, BUT more important than the event is the people.
So I ask that as each of you consider whether this is the ministry that you would like to serve, do ponder about this. We will have to take the high road, as many now are watching the footsteps that we take, many soon will follow in the choices that we make, so let us that be faithful to be as we should be and be a good example, that they might clearly see.
For us as we come out to serve, we are being set apart to fulfill this task ahead of us, let our service be as an offering to God, "And Aaron shall offer the Levites before the LORD for an offering of the children of Israel, that they may execute the service of the LORD. " Number 8:11.
Remember that the objective of the outing is warmth. "A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another." John 13:34~35. Let us be on a look out for those who are not fitting in. Be an encouragement to them. May we always remember why we are doing what we are doing. Love the people.
"One for all and all for one! Once a Levite, always a Levite!"
