The Mercy of God.
"Though I walk in the midst of trouble, thou wilt revive me: thou shalt stretch forth thine hand against the wrath of mine enemies, and thy right hand shall save me." Psalm 138:7. This is another encouraging verse, how many times in our lives have we been in the midst of trouble and thought we are alone? We are NEVER alone, God is with us always. Trust God, God is in control and God makes no mistakes!
"Search me, O God, and know my heart: try me, and know my thoughts: And see if there be any wicked way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting." 139:23 ~ 24. May this be our prayer every day, that the Lord will purge us from all unrighteousness, that we will be useful vessels for God. We serve the almighty God!
"I know that the LORD will maintain the cause of the afflicted, and the right of the poor. Surely the righteous shall give thanks unto thy name: the upright shall dwell in thy presence." Psalms 140:12 ~ 13. God sees and God knows what is happening, may we lead a life that is righteous and always be a help to those that are needy.
"My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous: And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world." I John 2:1 ~ 2. Another humbling verse, Jesus Christ died for all our sins and is our advocate! We are forgiven because of Jesus Christ’s death on the cross, who died for our past sins, our present sins and our future sins! "I write unto you, little children, because your sins are forgiven you for his name's sake." I John 2:12.
Wonderful passage is I John 2:15 ~ 17. "Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever."
Whose side are we on? Are we on the Lord’s side? Love not the world not the things that are in the world. For these are temporary, rather let us seek the things that are eternal, let us be a blessing to those around us, making an impact for the better in their life. Be an example to follow Christ.

Christine: Harlow fellow Levite! :"P Let us all serve the Lord together with gladness, remembering how God have first saved us. Thanks for co-laboring with us in this ministry. May the Lord keep you and sustain you even in the busy life that we all live, may we not forget the goodness of our Lord!
Jess: Thanks for dropping by. "Blessed is every one that feareth the LORD; that walketh in his ways. For thou shalt eat the labour of thine hands: happy shalt thou be, and it shall be well with thee." Psalms 128:1 ~ 2. Thanks for seeing how real that is in your life.
Love for People.
"Love is patient,
love is kind and
is not jealous;
love does not brag and
is not arrogant,
does not act unbecomingly;
it does not seek its own,
is not provoked,
does not take into account a wrong suffered,
does not rejoice in unrighteousness,
but rejoices with the truth;
bears all things,
believes all things,
hopes all things,
endures all things.
Love never fails;"
There is another passage which touches on love, I Peter 4:8 ~ 10 again using the version from New American Standard Bible.
"Above all, keep fervent in your love for one another, because love covers a multitude of sins. Be hospitable to one another without complaint. As each one has received a special gift, employ it in serving one another as good stewards of the manifold grace of God."
May this be the love that in the Uth Ministry. Let us, as Campus, set an example for the others to follow. In times of trials and tribulation, may we follow the example of Job in Job 1:21. "And said, Naked came I out of my mother's womb, and naked shall I return thither: the LORD gave, and the LORD hath taken away; blessed be the name of the LORD."

Serve God and God Alone.
"Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity!" Psalms 133:1. Think this is really very true. Through unity is strength, any church or ministry that is divided, will not be able to stand and be a good witness. Hence, to be able to dwell together in unity is really something that needs to be cherished. It is really good and pleasant to have that. This can only be done if we have love for one another.
It is amazing how prayer works. Most battles are won on our knees. What a beautiful picture is painted in Zechariah 10:1. "Ask ye of the LORD rain in the time of the latter rain; so the LORD shall make bright clouds, and give them showers of rain, to every one grass in the field."
"If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth:" I John 1:6. One person can’t serve 2 masters. This brings to memory the verse from Matthew 6:24, “No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.”
"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." I John 1:9. Thank God for this verse that we know that as long as we confess our sins, God will always forgive us.
May we continue to serve God and God alone.

Serve God for God!
"Except the LORD build the house, they labour in vain that build it: except the LORD keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain. It is vain for you to rise up early, to sit up late, to eat the bread of sorrows: for so he giveth his beloved sleep." Psalms 127:1 ~ 2. Oh how true this is, why do we never understand and always rely on human wisdom. May whatever we do, we pray first and ask God for guidance, we have not, because we ask not, so ask and seek and find. For the Lord gives good things in His time.
"Blessed is every one that feareth the LORD; that walketh in his ways. For thou shalt eat the labour of thine hands: happy shalt thou be, and it shall be well with thee." Psalms 128:1 ~ 2. Fear the Lord and walk in His ways, who knows what is best for us other than our Creator Himself? Oh let us not be wise, let us obey His word and trust God because God’s way is the best way.
"The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance." II Peter 3:9. God is not mock and God is not fooled. Reason why we are not ushered into the second coming is due to the goodness of God, may we seek the lost and help those that are the least and the last!
"Seeing then that all these things shall be dissolved, what manner of persons ought ye to be in all holy conversation and godliness," II Peter 3:11. Since we know what is to come, what sort of testimony should we give? We should be in all holy conversation and godliness! Let Jesus be seen in us. Let us press on. Do people mistake us and judge us wrongly? Never fear because while man sees the outside, God sees our heart! Let us not be stumbled but to look to God always. Be a good testimony not for others or ourselves, but for God.
"Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of him in peace, without spot, and blameless." II Peter 3:14. Again we are reminded to be without spot and blameless. Oh Christian, do not sin against God, hide God’s word in your heart that you will not sin against Him. Be not just a good testimony around Christians friends but everywhere you go, for your walk talks louder than your talk talks.
"Ye therefore, beloved, seeing ye know these things before, beware lest ye also, being led away with the error of the wicked, fall from your own stedfastness. But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever. Amen." II Peter 3:17 ~ 18. Let us be watchful for each other and lead a life pleasing to God, pushing back the gates of hell. Let us grow in the Lord, in grace and in the knowledge, thirsting for God’s word like a deer pant after the water, so my soul pant after thee, O God.
"And the LORD shall be seen over them, and his arrow shall go forth as the lightning: and the LORD God shall blow the trumpet, and shall go with whirlwinds of the south. The LORD of hosts shall defend them; and they shall devour, and subdue with sling stones; and they shall drink, and make a noise as through wine; and they shall be filled like bowls, and as the corners of the altar. And the LORD their God shall save them in that day as the flock of his people: for they shall be as the stones of a crown, lifted up as an ensign upon his land. For how great is his goodness, and how great is his beauty! corn shall make the young men cheerful, and new wine the maids." Zechariah 9:14 ~ 17.
What an encouragement this passage is. Let us come to God, putting Him first in our lives. God is the same, yesterday, today and forever, will you not serve God and fight for God? Are you on the Lord’s side?

Don't give up! Don't give in!
The passage from Psalms 112:5 ~ 9 strikes me as to what exactly is a good man. "A good man sheweth favour, and lendeth: he will guide his affairs with discretion. Surely he shall not be moved for ever: the righteous shall be in everlasting remembrance. He shall not be afraid of evil tidings: his heart is fixed, trusting in the LORD. His heart is established, he shall not be afraid, until he see his desire upon his enemies. He hath dispersed, he hath given to the poor; his righteousness endureth for ever; his horn shall be exalted with honour."
Amazing to see that the good man will not be moved forever and he will not be afraid of evil tidings since the good man’s heart is fixed upon the Lord, trusting God. It is just so amazing to learn how to trust God day by day, moment by moment. Remember that nothing happens by chance and all things are in God’s control. God makes no mistakes. "Ye that fear the LORD, trust in the LORD: he is their help and their shield." Psalms 115:11. He Lord will be our help and our shield! So let us cast our dependence on the Lord, not passively sitting there waiting for God’s will to be revealed but to actively and in cooperation with God, do His will!
It is amazing how in the church life we will be elder to some and younger to others, as elders we should "Neither as being lords over God's heritage, but being examples to the flock." I Peter 5:3. Not that we rule and reign over the people we are watching over but we are to be an examples to them, what beautiful balance and what beautiful truth! That is a Christian life, one of balance always! :”P
In I Peter 5:6 ~ 8, we are taught as the younger to be submissive to our elders. "Likewise, ye younger, submit yourselves unto the elder. Yea, all of you be subject one to another, and be clothed with humility: for God resisteth the proud, and giveth grace to the humble. Humble yourselves therefore under the mighty hand of God, that he may exalt you in due time: Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you. Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a roaring lion, walketh about, seeking whom he may devour:"
Moreover we are to be humble, for God resist the proud. Resist is a strong word, from http://www.answers.com/topic/resist we see the definition of resist,
1. To strive to fend off or offset the actions, effects, or force of.
2. To remain firm against the actions, effects, or force of; withstand
3. To keep from giving in to or enjoying.
Let us not be proud but to be humble. However, it is important to note that we swing not to the other extreme and start to display false humility. If we have any problems we should cast our cares on God because God cares for us. Furthermore, let us always be sober and vigilant for the devil seeks to destroy us. Do not be naïve as we push back the gates of hell, the devil will not watch us do it idly.
"But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you. To him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen" I Peter 5:10 ~ 11. Even as we go through life and we face the trials and tribulations, let us remember it is but for a while and through it we will indeed be better vessels for the Lord’s usage. Press on in the war. Don’t give up, don’t give in!

Charity shall Cover the Multitude of Sins.
This following verse is repeated 4 times in Psalms 107:8, 15, 21 and 31. "Oh that men would praise the LORD for his goodness, and for his wonderful works to the children of men!" Notice there was never a time frame attach to it, as in like praise and thank God only when times are good. No, we are to praise God whenever and whatever that happened. God makes no mistakes and God is in total control of the situation.
Let us then live a life that is pleasing to God, without murmur and without complaint. We live our life not for ourselves but for the glory of God keeping God’s commandants not because we have to but because we want to. "Blessed are they that keep judgment, and he that doeth righteousness at all times." Psalms 106:3.
In times of trouble, let us look to God. "Give us help from trouble: for vain is the help of man." Psalms 108:12. We will definitely have trials and tribulations in our lives, the important part is the process where we are molded to be a better person. The ends NEVER justifies the means.
"Beloved, think it not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you, as though some strange thing happened unto you: But rejoice, inasmuch as ye are partakers of Christ's sufferings; that, when his glory shall be revealed, ye may be glad also with exceeding joy. If ye be reproached for the name of Christ, happy are ye; for the spirit of glory and of God resteth upon you: on their part he is evil spoken of, but on your part he is glorified." I peter 4:12 ~14.
If we suffer for Christ’s sake, let us count is all but joy. Being happy and thankful. This is an amazing passage, here are Christians being executed for their faith, how about us? Will we still stand for God, be a good testimony for God, be a good witness for God even though we may seem to stand out like a sore thumb and be ridiculed?
The end times are near, let us be watchful for each other and upholding one another in prayer. "But the end of all things is at hand: be ye therefore sober, and watch unto prayer." I Peter 4:7.
"And above all things have fervent charity among yourselves: for charity shall cover the multitude of sins. Use hospitality one to another without grudging." I Peter 4:8 ~ 9. May we indeed show love one to another. Lord forbid that we start to judge one another. Who are we to judge?
"A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another." John 13:34 ~ 35. May our lives be an example to others, will you today show love one to another?

My Grace is Sufficient for Thee, for My Strength is Made Perfect in Weakness.
Well, just came back from the Chinese New Year holidays, thank God for giving even us this day!
Was reading Psalms 102:11 ~ 12 about the shortness of our lives. "My days are like a shadow that declineth; and I am withered like grass. But thou, O LORD, shall endure for ever; and thy remembrance unto all generations." May we live life as if every day is our last day, that we will remember that God did not promise us that we will live until 80 ~ 100 before dying of old age.
May we not seek after the temporal things of this life but the things that are eternal, may we be like Job saying, “And said, Naked came I out of my mother's womb, and naked shall I return thither: the LORD gave, and the LORD hath taken away; blessed be the name of the LORD.” Job 1:21.
It is so comforting to know that even though people change, our God remains the same forever and ever. "But thou art the same, and thy years shall have no end." Psalms 102:27. He will always love us for who we are.
"The LORD is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and plenteous in mercy." Psalms 103:8. Thank God for being a merciful and gracious God and "He hath not dealt with us after our sins; nor rewarded us according to our iniquities. For as the heaven is high above the earth, so great is his mercy toward them that fear him. As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us." Psalms 103:10 ~ 12. Thank God for His forgiveness of our transgressions against Him!
"For he knoweth our frame; he remembereth that we are dust. As for man, his days are as grass: as a flower of the field, so he flourisheth. For the wind passeth over it, and it is gone; and the place thereof shall know it no more." Psalms 103:14 ~ 16. Is it not amazing that even when we are but a moment, God still cares so much for us that He sent His only begotten son to die for us that we may live? "The glory of the LORD shall endure for ever: the LORD shall rejoice in his works." Psalms 104:31.
Let us then "Glory ye in his holy name: let the heart of them rejoice that seek the LORD. Seek the LORD, and his strength: seek his face evermore." Psalms 105:3 ~ 4. Remember what God has done for us in our everyday life, how God had led us thus far. "That they might observe his statutes, and keep his laws. Praise ye the LORD." Psalms 105:45.
Even as we serve, may we always remember this verse from Zechariah 4:6. "Then he answered and spake unto me, saying, This is the word of the LORD unto Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the LORD of hosts." Let us be utter depend on the God for his strength and actively push back the gates of hell, not just surrender our lives passively, sitting there do nothing, but actively serving God with all that we have, our time, our money, our abilities, our lives.
"Finally, be ye all of one mind, having compassion one of another, love as brethren, be pitiful, be courteous: Not rendering evil for evil, or railing for railing: but contrariwise blessing; knowing that ye are thereunto called, that ye should inherit a blessing. For he that will love life, and see good days, let him refrain his tongue from evil, and his lips that they speak no guile: Let him eschew evil, and do good; let him seek peace, and ensue it. For the eyes of the Lord are over the righteous, and his ears are open unto their prayers: but the face of the Lord is against them that do evil." I Peter 3:8 ~ 12.
This passage above from I Peter 3:8 ~ 12 really struck me. Let us then live a life that is righteous and not sin against God.
"But and if ye suffer for righteousness' sake, happy are ye: and be not afraid of their terror, neither be troubled; But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear: Having a good conscience; that, whereas they speak evil of you, as of evildoers, they may be ashamed that falsely accuse your good conversation in Christ. For it is better, if the will of God be so, that ye suffer for well doing, than for evil doing." I Peter 3:14 ~ 17.
Do you have problems, my friend? Are you misjudged and misunderstood, fellow Christian? Let’s look to God who knows what we are going through. Pray and God will see you through. Remember, "And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me." II Corinthians 12:9.

"That the generation to come might know them, even the children which should be born; who should arise and declare them to their children: That they might set their hope in God, and not forget the works of God, but keep his commandments:" Psalm 78:6 ~ 7. May we always be thankful to God and also encourage others to do the same, so that we may all remember who God is! "And they remembered that God was their rock, and the high God their redeemer." Psalm 78:35.
"O remember not against us former iniquities: let thy tender mercies speedily prevent us: for we are brought very low. Help us, O God of our salvation, for the glory of thy name: and deliver us, and purge away our sins, for thy name's sake." Psalm 79:8 ~ 9. Let us come before God and make all things right with Him this year, that we maybe useful vessels for God.
"Then spake Haggai the LORD's messenger in the LORD's message unto the people, saying, I am with you, saith the LORD." Haggai 1:13. It is not just amazing to know that God is always with us whenever we go? No matter what we are going through, family and friends may not understand because they are not in our shoes, but God knows because God is with us. Jesus is known as Emmanuel, God with us!
"Even so the tongue is a little member, and boasteth great things. Behold, how great a matter a little fire kindleth! And the tongue is a fire, a world of iniquity: so is the tongue among our members, that it defileth the whole body, and setteth on fire the course of nature; and it is set on fire of hell." James 3:5 ~ 6. Let us watch our tongue, "But the tongue can no man tame; it is an unruly evil, full of deadly poison." James 3:8. We have to keep check of not just what we do but more so what we say. Let us be a blessing and lift up one another instead of saying things that will hurt another due to careless and thoughtlessness on our part.
"But the wisdom that is from above is first pure, then peaceable, gentle, and easy to be intreated, full of mercy and good fruits, without partiality, and without hypocrisy. And the fruit of righteousness is sown in peace of them that make peace." James 3:17 ~ 18. May we remember what true wisdom is. Thank God for this gentle reminder.

Faith without Works is Dead!
"Now also when I am old and greyheaded, O God, forsake me not; until I have shewed thy strength unto this generation, and thy power to every one that is to come. Thy righteousness also, O God, is very high, who hast done great things: O God, who is like unto thee! Thou, which hast shewed me great and sore troubles, shalt quicken me again, and shalt bring me up again from the depths of the earth. Thou shalt increase my greatness, and comfort me on every side." Psalm 71:18 ~ 21. Let us always continue to be a blessing to our generation, that through us may God work mighty to impact our sphere of influence for God.
"Nevertheless I am continually with thee: thou hast holden me by my right hand. Thou shalt guide me with thy counsel, and afterward receive me to glory. Whom have I in heaven but thee? and there is none upon earth that I desire beside thee. My flesh and my heart faileth: but God is the strength of my heart, and my portion for ever." Psalm 73:23 ~ 26. Even though there are times when we failed, our God is with us always. Leading and guiding us every step of the way. Such comfort to my soul.
"For promotion cometh neither from the east, nor from the west, nor from the south. But God is the judge: he putteth down one, and setteth up another." Psalm 75:6 ~ 7. Just find this so amazing, we see others strive for things in life, but we know that God is in absolute control. All we need is to live our best for God, surrendering every aspects of our life to God. In our word and our conduct, may God be lifted up and glorified. Let’s not seek for the temporal things of this life but press on for things eternal, impacting others for the better, for God.
"The just LORD is in the midst thereof; he will not do iniquity: every morning doth he bring his judgment to light, he faileth not; but the unjust knoweth no shame" Zephaniah 3:5. The Lord knows our every actions, words and motives. God is not deceived and not mocked, He sees our heart, He sees the inside.
"What doth it profit, my brethren, though a man say he hath faith, and have not works? can faith save him? If a brother or sister be naked, and destitute of daily food, And one of you say unto them, Depart in peace, be ye warmed and filled; notwithstanding ye give them not those things which are needful to the body; what doth it profit? Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone." James 2:14 ~ 17. This passage has always been in my mind these few days.
It is amazing how the life of a Christian is one of balance. Do we pray, yes we do. However, if there is a physical need do we do it? Absolutely! Let’s not be Christians residing in ivory towers while those who have need are passing us by. Let’s meet the needs of those around us. Let us excuses stop us from being a blessing to others.
For faith without works is dead.

Doer and not Hearer only!
So great to know that the trying of our faith is for a good cause, that we may me molded to be a masterpiece for God. "My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience. But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing." James 1:2 ~ 4.
"Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him." James 1:12. Thank God for His Word. Let us not be discouraged or dismayed for everything worked for our good.
Are you trouble and lacking direction and wisdom? "If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him. But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed." James 1:5 ~ 6. Let us then ask in faith and not be a doubleminded man, who is unstable in his ways. Ask and believe God will provide because God has already promised us that!
"Do not err, my beloved brethren. Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above, and cometh down from the Father of lights, with whom is no variableness, neither shadow of turning." James 1:16 ~ 17. May we always remember how God has always been faithful to us in times past and He will continue to be faithful to us. In times of trials and temptations will you not look up to God?
Let us never be quick to say and judge. Not be quick to anger but always to give others a benefit of doubt. Listen first, so that there will not be miscommunication. "Wherefore, my beloved brethren, let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath: For the wrath of man worketh not the righteousness of God." James 1:19 ~ 20.
Moreover, let our walk talk because our walk talk louder that our talk talks. "But be ye doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves. For if any be a hearer of the word, and not a doer, he is like unto a man beholding his natural face in a glass: For he beholdeth himself, and goeth his way, and straightway forgetteth what manner of man he was. But whoso looketh into the perfect law of liberty, and continueth therein, he being not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, this man shall be blessed in his deed." James 1:22 ~ 25. May we be an example to everyone around us.
"If any man among you seem to be religious, and bridleth not his tongue, but deceiveth his own heart, this man's religion is vain. Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world." James 1:26 ~ 27. This is what it means to be a Christian. Let us help those that are lost, last and least.
Will you not be on the Lord’s side and stand for God being an example to the lost and dying world around you?

Jesus is the Same Yesterday, Today and Forever!
Are there times where you have felt overwhelmed with life, wondering who you can turn to? There is only one answer God. "From the end of the earth will I cry unto thee, when my heart is overwhelmed: lead me to the rock that is higher than I. For thou hast been a shelter for me, and a strong tower from the enemy." Psalm 61:2 ~ 3.
Here it is repeated twice, "He only is my rock and my salvation; he is my defence; I shall not be greatly moved." Psalm 62:2. Again it is repeated in Psalm 62:6. “He only is my rock and my salvation: he is my defence; I shall not be moved." God is indeed our rock, our salvation, our defence. We can have faith in the almighty creator God who will not leave us nor forsake us. "Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee." Hebrews 13:5.
"And all men shall fear, and shall declare the work of God; for they shall wisely consider of his doing. The righteous shall be glad in the LORD, and shall trust in him; and all the upright in heart shall glory." Psalm 64:9 ~ 10. Those who trust in the Lord will be delivered, those who trust in the things of this world will be greatly dismayed. "Neither their silver nor their gold shall be able to deliver them in the day of the LORD's wrath; but the whole land shall be devoured by the fire of his jealousy: for he shall make even a speedy riddance of all them that dwell in the land." Zephaniah 1:18.
So "Let brotherly love continue." Hebrews 13:1. Just find it very encouraging that "Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever." Hebrews 13:8. We have a God that changes not. He is always the same, the same God of the Israelites who lead them out in the wilderness. Oh thank you God for what an awesome God you are. People change, friends change, family members change but God NEVER changes!
"Obey them that have the rule over you, and submit yourselves: for they watch for your souls, as they that must give account, that they may do it with joy, and not with grief: for that is unprofitable for you." Hebrews 13:17. Let us obey the leaders God have placed over us so that we will not grief them.
In all that we do may we please God. "Make you perfect in every good work to do his will, working in you that which is wellpleasing in his sight, through Jesus Christ; to whom be glory for ever and ever. Amen." Hebrews 13:21. Let our motives be right, and may we glorify Him in all that we do!

God is my Strength!
Trust God is fully believing in God and God alone. As stated in Psalm 57:1. "Be merciful unto me, O God, be merciful unto me: for my soul trusteth in thee: yea, in the shadow of thy wings will I make my refuge, until these calamities be overpast." God is the one who can take care of us and shield us from the cares and the worries of this world, all we have to do is to come to Him and acknowledge that God knows best.
"But I will sing of thy power; yea, I will sing aloud of thy mercy in the morning: for thou hast been my defence and refuge in the day of my trouble. Unto thee, O my strength, will I sing: for God is my defence, and the God of my mercy." Psalm 59:16 ~ 17. What beautiful verses, come what may, God will always be there for us, protecting us from all the troubles of life. As Christians, does it mean life will be a bed of roses? Absolutely not, but when trials and tribulations come, we know we can always turn to our God. Turn your eyes upon Jesus, such as in our lives, He maybe glorified.
Why turn to man for help when we can turn to God? "Give us help from trouble: for vain is the help of man. Through God we shall do valiantly: for he it is that shall tread down our enemies." Psalm 60:11 ~ 12. Only by God’s strength will we be able to press on valiantly.
"Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God." Hebrews 12:1 ~ 2. As others have send the example for us, let us then run this race with patience and lay aside everything that will hinder us from pleasing our God.
God is never mocked, so let us serve God with reverence and fear. "Wherefore we receiving a kingdom which cannot be moved, let us have grace, whereby we may serve God acceptably with reverence and godly fear: For our God is a consuming fire." Hebrews 12:28 ~ 29.
"Yet I will rejoice in the LORD, I will joy in the God of my salvation. The LORD God is my strength, and he will make my feet like hinds' feet, and he will make me to walk upon mine high places. To the chief singer on my stringed instruments." Habakkuk 3:18 ~ 19. The Lord is indeed our strength. Whatever we do, whenever we are, maybe we always praise and thank God. For our God is good, all the time, all the time, our God is good.

Cast Down? Disquieted?
The passage at the start of Psalm 41:1 ~ 2 really struck me. "Blessed is he that considereth the poor: the LORD will deliver him in time of trouble. The LORD will preserve him, and keep him alive; and he shall be blessed upon the earth: and thou wilt not deliver him unto the will of his enemies." We who are more able in so many ways are not my more required of us? To whom much has been given, much more shall be required.
It is amazing how those that are less fortunate be it in monetary sense or physical sense, majority of them have a better outlook in life and more of a fighting spirit, what about us? Do we consider them? Do we help them? May we not be like the priest and the Levite who walk past those that are in need. It is in helping that we are helped. May we not go to church expecting the church to be a blessing to us, rather let us be a blessing to those around us.
These verses are repeated 3 times over a span of only 2 chapters, Psalm 42:5, Psalm 42:11 and Psalm 43:5, which I have listed them here,
"Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted in me? hope thou in God: for I shall yet praise him for the help of his countenance." Psalm 42:5.
"Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted within me? hope thou in God: for I shall yet praise him, who is the health of my countenance, and my God." Psalm 42:11.
"Why art thou cast down, O my soul? and why art thou disquieted within me? hope in God: for I shall yet praise him, who is the health of my countenance, and my God." Psalm 43:5.
O soul are you downcast and disquieted? Look upon the Lord. Our God is the almighty God, is he not? The creator of the heavens and the earth, is there anything that is impossible with Him? Is there a problem there is ever bigger than our God? Hope in the Lord and praise God for God will deliver us in times of our need, in times of our trouble.
The high priest of old was unable to wash the sins of Israel, not even his own, but Jesus Christ has overcome sin and death "And for this cause he is the mediator of the new testament, that by means of death, for the redemption of the transgressions that were under the first testament, they which are called might receive the promise of eternal inheritance." Hebrews 9:15.
Let us remember what God said in Matthew 11:28 ~ 30, “Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.”
Will you come to God today and take of His yoke and learn from God?

Delight thyself also in the LORD: and He shall give thee the desires of thine heart!
"Trust in the LORD, and do good; so shalt thou dwell in the land, and verily thou shalt be fed. Delight thyself also in the LORD: and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart. Commit thy way unto the LORD; trust also in him; and he shall bring it to pass. And he shall bring forth thy righteousness as the light, and thy judgment as the noonday. Rest in the LORD, and wait patiently for him: fret not thyself because of him who prospereth in his way, because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass. Cease from anger, and forsake wrath: fret not thyself in any wise to do evil." Psalm 37:3 ~ 8. To me these verses just brings encouragement to my soul.
Do we need to worry about food? Nope, because as long as we trust God, God will feed us. Delight ourselves in the Lord and he will gives us the desires of our heart! So simple and yet so very true! Let us then commit our ways to God and trust God! Ceasing from all anger and wrath! For "The LORD knoweth the days of the upright: and their inheritance shall be for ever. They shall not be ashamed in the evil time: and in the days of famine they shall be satisfied." Psalm 37:18 ~ 19.
"The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD: and he delighteth in his way. Though he fall, he shall not be utterly cast down: for the LORD upholdeth him with his hand." Psalm 37:23 ~ 24. This is the wonderful verse which form the song the steps of a good man. Even though the good man falls, the Lord will uphold him. What a comforting thought and reassurance from our almighty God!
"Depart from evil, and do good; and dwell for evermore. For the LORD loveth judgment, and forsaketh not his saints; they are preserved for ever: but the seed of the wicked shall be cut off. The righteous shall inherit the land, and dwell therein for ever. The mouth of the righteous speaketh wisdom, and his tongue talketh of judgment. The law of his God is in his heart; none of his steps shall slide." Psalm 37:27 ~ 31. So let us the strike a balance and lead a righteous life, doing good! May our words and conduct be an example to all.
May we always in dependence of God, not rush before God but "Wait on the LORD, and keep his way, and he shall exalt thee to inherit the land: when the wicked are cut off, thou shalt see it." Psalm 37:34.
"But the salvation of the righteous is of the LORD: he is their strength in the time of trouble. And the LORD shall help them, and deliver them: he shall deliver them from the wicked, and save them, because they trust in him." Psalm 37:39 ~ 40. Even at our darkest time, God is with us always! Let us trust Him for He is our strength!
Will you put your trust in the Lord and do good?

Press Onward to Higher Ground!
When you trust someone you totally believe the person. When I trust God, I lay everything in my life to Him in absolute surrender. God has the best plan for me and God knows best. "O love the LORD, all ye his saints: for the LORD preserveth the faithful, and plentifully rewardeth the proud doer. Be of good courage, and he shall strengthen your heart, all ye that hope in the LORD." Psalm 31:23 ~ 24.
Let us keep our eyes turned always to God. God will provide. He is the creator God. Do we have to wait until we are perfect before we trust God? Do we wait until we are perfect before we serve? No! As we trust and depend on God, God will provide.
Let not sin stop us and be a hindrance to living a life that will be pleasing to God as God has already paid for all our sins and forgiven us. "Blessed is he whose transgression is forgiven, whose sin is covered. Blessed is the man unto whom the LORD imputeth not iniquity, and in whose spirit there is no guile." Psalm 32:1 ~ 2.
"I acknowledge my sin unto thee, and mine iniquity have I not hid. I said, I will confess my transgressions unto the LORD; and thou forgavest the iniquity of my sin. Selah." Psalm 32:5. So we should acknowledge all our sins and confess them, so that we will be given.
Since God knows what is best for us when we trust God we can be glad, rejoicing and shouting for joy. "Many sorrows shall be to the wicked: but he that trusteth in the LORD, mercy shall compass him about. Be glad in the LORD, and rejoice, ye righteous: and shout for joy, all ye that are upright in heart." Psalm 32:10 ~ 11. Let us renew our lives and lead an upright life for God, always being Spirit filled, Spirit led and Spirit dependent.
"Depart from evil, and do good; seek peace, and pursue it. The eyes of the LORD are upon the righteous, and his ears are open unto their cry. The face of the LORD is against them that do evil, to cut off the remembrance of them from the earth. The righteous cry, and the LORD heareth, and delivereth them out of all their troubles." Psalm 34:14 ~ 17. God will deliver those who are lead an upright life and God will be with us always.
Though our God is slow to anger, we have to make right with God because God hates those that are wicked. "The LORD is slow to anger, and great in power, and will not at all acquit the wicked: the LORD hath his way in the whirlwind and in the storm, and the clouds are the dust of his feet." Nahum 1:3.
Let us fear God always because our God is a all mighty God, His word is the law!"Let all the earth fear the LORD: let all the inhabitants of the world stand in awe of him. For he spake, and it was done; he commanded, and it stood fast." Psalm 33:8 ~ 9. Our God is good all the time, all the time, our God is good.
"O taste and see that the LORD is good: blessed is the man that trusteth in him. O fear the LORD, ye his saints: for there is no want to them that fear him." Psalm 34:8 ~ 9. The Lord will guide those who fear them, what a wonderful promise that there is no want to them that fear Him. Praise the Lord.
"The LORD is good, a strong hold in the day of trouble; and he knoweth them that trust in him." Nahum 1:7. Hence we know that God is good and when we are in trouble we know God is always near as a stronghold protecting us, we just have to trust God.
Moreover we continue to wait upon the Lord, "Our soul waiteth for the LORD: he is our help and our shield. For our heart shall rejoice in him, because we have trusted in his holy name. Let thy mercy, O LORD, be upon us, according as we hope in thee." Psalm 33:20 ~ 22.
Not only God is good and we should wait for God, trusting Him, God also knows what we are going through because God came down to Earth and lived here himself for 33 years before dying and defeating sin and death. "Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them. For such an high priest became us, who is holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners, and made higher than the heavens;" Hebrews 7:25 ~ 26.
"I will give thee thanks in the great congregation: I will praise thee among much people." Psalm 35:18. So let us give thanks because we serve the true and living God who hears our prayers and is with us always. Take heart, be strong and be of good courage, let us press on to higher grounds!

Waiting
"The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid? When the wicked, even mine enemies and my foes, came upon me to eat up my flesh, they stumbled and fell. Though an host should encamp against me, my heart shall not fear: though war should rise against me, in this will I be confident." Proverbs 27:1 ~ 3. Is it not amazing how God watches over us and always takes good care of us, if that is the case is there anything we should fear?
"When my father and my mother forsake me, then the LORD will take me up." Proverbs 27:10. There may come times where even our own parents will not understand but trust in the Lord, God understand. God knows what we are going through.
So let us then wait on the Lord for God to show what there is needed to be done. Let us not run ahead of God but "Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the LORD." Proverbs 27:14. How many times we often are eager to do something, and we push ahead before God? Let us not be like Saul that takes matter into his own hands.
"And some of the Hebrews went over Jordan to the land of Gad and Gilead. As for Saul, he was yet in Gilgal, and all the people followed him trembling. And he tarried seven days, according to the set time that Samuel had appointed: but Samuel came not to Gilgal; and the people were scattered from him. And Saul said, Bring hither a burnt offering to me, and peace offerings. And he offered the burnt offering. And it came to pass, that as soon as he had made an end of offering the burnt offering, behold, Samuel came; and Saul went out to meet him, that he might salute him. And Samuel said, What hast thou done? And Saul said, Because I saw that the people were scattered from me, and that thou camest not within the days appointed, and that the Philistines gathered themselves together at Michmash; Therefore said I, The Philistines will come down now upon me to Gilgal, and I have not made supplication unto the LORD: I forced myself therefore, and offered a burnt offering. And Samuel said to Saul, Thou hast done foolishly: thou hast not kept the commandment of the LORD thy God, which he commanded thee: for now would the LORD have established thy kingdom upon Israel for ever. But now thy kingdom shall not continue: the LORD hath sought him a man after his own heart, and the LORD hath commanded him to be captain over his people, because thou hast not kept that which the LORD commanded thee." I Samuel 13:7 ~ 14.
"Blessed be the LORD, because he hath heard the voice of my supplications. The LORD is my strength and my shield; my heart trusted in him, and I am helped: therefore my heart greatly rejoiceth; and with my song will I praise him." Proverbs 28:6 ~ 7. God always hears our prayers, just that the answer maybe a yes, a no or a wait. So let us always rejoice for the Lord indeed is my strength and my shield!
"The LORD will give strength unto his people; the LORD will bless his people with peace." Proverbs 29:11. It is from God where we derive our strength and our blessings of peace, may we always remember from whence the blessing came.
"Thou hast turned for me my mourning into dancing: thou hast put off my sackcloth, and girded me with gladness; To the end that my glory may sing praise to thee, and not be silent. O LORD my God, I will give thanks unto thee for ever." Proverbs 30:11 ~ 12. It is through God that we are able to turn our sorrows into joy because we know that he had done everything for the good of us, that everything work together for our good. “And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.” Romans 8:28.
So then let us be faithful and watching, following Christ with faith and patience, not to be lazy for there are so much to be done for God. "That ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises." Hebrews 6:12. May we always be accountable for our actions to lead a life that is pleasing to Him!
"Therefore I will look unto the LORD; I will wait for the God of my salvation: my God will hear me." Micah 7:7. Let us then wait on the Lord and turn our eyes upon the Lord.

Jiahao: So let it be written, so let it be done. Praying for you, Iris and the rest of the Fireflies. May you be an example for them to follow you. To live righteously, to love unconditionally, to learn humbly and to leave an enduring legacy... May this be how your life will be as well. Keep shining for God. In God we trust.
Christine: Harlow Princess! Nice to see you around, saw you yesterday during service but had to leave early so never had a chance to talk. Do continue to press on. Know it is getting tougher as we are back to the rat race, but look to God who have gave his life for us, the author and finisher of our faith, His grace is sufficient for us!
Jess: Harlow Duchess! You are been a tremendous encouragement and blessing to me as well! Do press on leading the rest of the Teenz. With God on our side, may we be instruments for His usage, pushing back the gates of hell. Not I but Christ. Really praying that revival will break out in each of our lives, spreading out to the rest, that we will be renewed and mount up as wings as eagles!
Ah Cat: Thanks for your constant prayers. It is on our knees where battles are fought and won! You are such a great prayer warrior. Do continue to pray for the Levities that we will fulfill the Pillar of the Warmth in the Uth Ministry, remembering God's love that we will follow the new commandment that God have gave us, that we will love one another so that others will see we are disciples of Christ.

Trust and Obey.
Upon confessing then the Lord will indeed hear our cries! "The LORD hath heard my supplication; the LORD will receive my prayer. Let all mine enemies be ashamed and sore vexed: let them return and be ashamed suddenly." Psalms 6:9 ~ 10. Did not the Word of God also say that, “Behold, the LORD's hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear:” Isaiah 59:1.
God will definitely be for us, for we are weak and we cannot defend ourselves, but "My defence is of God, which saveth the upright in heart. God judgeth the righteous, and God is angry with the wicked every day. " Psalms 7:10 ~ 11. May we live a life that is pleasing to God always.
"When I consider thy heavens, the work of thy fingers, the moon and the stars, which thou hast ordained; What is man, that thou art mindful of him? and the son of man, that thou visitest him?" Psalms 8:3 ~4. This passage touched me that we are so small and insignificant but God can and died for us. In fact this is repeated in Hebrews 2:6. "But one in a certain place testified, saying, What is man, that thou art mindful of him? or the son of man that thou visitest him?"
When we are troubled and no one understands our plight, we can we turn to? God our Lord and our Savior! "The LORD also will be a refuge for the oppressed, a refuge in times of trouble. And they that know thy name will put their trust in thee: for thou, LORD, hast not forsaken them that seek thee." Psalms 9:9 ~ 10.
"LORD, thou hast heard the desire of the humble: thou wilt prepare their heart, thou wilt cause thine ear to hear: To judge the fatherless and the oppressed, that the man of the earth may no more oppress." Psalms 10:17 ~ 18. God will always give grace to those that are humble, are you in the midst of a trial or tributlation? Fear not for the Lord God hears our cries and God will not put us through anything more than we can go through by His grace. We only need to look upon Him!
"Therefore we ought to give the more earnest heed to the things which we have heard, lest at any time we should let them slip." Hebrews 2:1. Let us then be mindful and hear God’s Word from whence we derive our faith. “So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.” Romans 10:17.
"And again, I will put my trust in him. And again, Behold I and the children which God hath given me. Forasmuch then as the children are partakers of flesh and blood, he also himself likewise took part of the same; that through death he might destroy him that had the power of death, that is, the devil; And deliver them who through fear of death were all their lifetime subject to bondage." Hebrews 2:13 ~ 15. In God we trust, let us always remember that.
It is not us, it is God that that we should trust, because he knows what we are going through. "Wherefore in all things it behoved him to be made like unto his brethren, that he might be a merciful and faithful high priest in things pertaining to God, to make reconciliation for the sins of the people. For in that he himself hath suffered being tempted, he is able to succour them that are tempted." Hebrews 2:17 ~ 18.
Will you trust and obey God?
Thanksgiving for the Levities!
Sapience Now Think: You have been a great blessing to me, correcting my over ambitious plans and making sensible suggestions. Pray that you will continue to be able to contribute to the group, your advise and your wisdom. May God use you in a great and mighty way and revival breaks out in your life that you go to even higher ground.
Rich As Plainness: I thank God for the opportunity to get to know you better. May each step that you take be the one that is directed by God. May we have more opportunities to serve together and God will listen to your prayers and shake your world for God. Press on for God.
Senate Jail Pan: Another person who I thank God for putting in my life. Plus one who lost to me badly in Jenga. Excuses will not help and there is no such thing as winning in order. Glad to know you as a friend, may you have a passion for God that will never die. May it be as a fire that will impact the others in your lives and burn as a light to the lost and dying world around you.
Neat Crashing Apeman: You have been a wonderful blessing to me, hearing how God is using you and yet you are so pack with so many things in school and in church. May you have a balance in all aspects of your life. Even though you may not be able to join us this Saturday, but you have been a great help and an important link in our communications! May God use you to impact others around you!
To Crabbier Inaneness: Thank God for your willingness to help in the organization of the Levities. Really appreciate your service and thank God for giving me a chance to know you better. Will definitely ensure that you will reach home early so as not to end up in the little black book with the Prince. May God use you to impact your school and grant you direction and wisdom to do what you need to do.
Division Petulancy: Thank God for taking charge of all the inventories with the disappearance of your mentor for the next few months. You have truly been a blessing and a good balance to me. Will remember to relax. May the Lord use you to impact those around you in school that you have sufficient rest and pushing back the gates of Hell.
Hen Nail: Thank God for accepting the invitation and coming on board to serve together with us. There is great potential in you. May you be able to find the gifts that you have and serve God. May we have more opportunities to learn from each other and that God will direct you in your path, trust in God always.
Knowing Reveal: Thank God for coming alongside to serve with us. I am sure that God will definitely show you the direction that He has for your life. May you be an example to the others to guide them along. Thank God for your willingness and your service. May God use you as a spiritual giant to encourage others around you to higher ground.
Thank God for each of you. May we have more opportunities to serve alongside each other that we will encourage each other as we all press on to higher grounds. For us as we come out to serve, we are being set apart to fulfill this task ahead of us, let our service be as an offering to God, "And Aaron shall offer the Levites before the LORD for an offering of the children of Israel, that they may execute the service of the LORD." Number 8:11.
When Israel sin in the wilderness and Aaron made the molten image, who was on the Lord's side? " Then Moses stood in the gate of the camp, and said, Who is on the LORD's side? Let him come unto me. And all the sons of Levi gathered themselves together unto him." Exodus 32:26. May we be set apart and be as a living sacrifice for God. The road ahead is not going to be easy as we will be organizing the events, BUT more important than the event is the people.
My God is good, all the time, all the time my God is good! All for one and one for all! Once a Levite, always a Levite!

Righteousness
This has been the verse which I was told to memorize when I am young, it always strikes a cord with me, and how we are not to walk in the counsel of the ungodly, how we are not to stand in the way of the sinners or sit in the seat of the scornful. The people we mix with will have an impact on us. Did not the Bible say “Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness?” 2 Corinthians 6:14.
Do not think that God do not know what we are doing, even when none of our church friends are with us, God knows exactly what we are doing in our everyday life. A Christian life is a walk with God a relationship with God. "For the LORD knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish." Psalms 1:6. Let us lead a life that is pleasing to God.
When we serve, "Serve the LORD with fear, and rejoice with trembling." Psalms 2:11. If we are mindful of God’s presence in our lives, if we are near to God and know that the Holy Spirit dwells within us, will we falter? Will we fall?
The Lord always seeks to bless us in our lives. Don’t get me wrong that the Christian life would be one of smooth sailing, there will be trials and tribulation, but it is through those that we become a stronger person, that we are molded to grow closer to God, that we will not be proud. "Salvation belongeth unto the LORD: thy blessing is upon thy people. Selah." Psalms 3:8.
"Stand in awe, and sin not: commune with your own heart upon your bed, and be still. Selah." Psalms 4:4. So let us not sin, for sin will be a barrier from us communicating with God. The Word of God has said, “If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear me:” Psalm 66:18.
So let us lead a life that is righteous following God’s leading. "Lead me, O LORD, in thy righteousness because of mine enemies; make thy way straight before my face." Psalms 5:8.
Not only to follow God’s leading but to put our trust in the Lord. "But let all those that put their trust in thee rejoice: let them ever shout for joy, because thou defendest them: let them also that love thy name be joyful in thee. For thou, LORD, wilt bless the righteous; with favour wilt thou compass him as with a shield." Psalms 5:11 ~ 12. Is it not fantastic to know that God will always protect us? “What shall we then say to these things? If God be for us, who can be against us?” Romans 8:31.
"But unto the Son he saith, Thy throne, O God, is for ever and ever: a sceptre of righteousness is the sceptre of thy kingdom. Thou hast loved righteousness, and hated iniquity; therefore God, even thy God, hath anointed thee with the oil of gladness above thy fellows." Hebrews 1: 8 ~ 9. I thank God that His kingdom is a kingdom of righteousness. May we then live a life that is righteous here on Earth. Not so self righteousness but a righteous life that would honor God.
"Woe to them that devise iniquity, and work evil upon their beds! when the morning is light, they practise it, because it is in the power of their hand. And they covet fields, and take them by violence; and houses, and take them away: so they oppress a man and his house, even a man and his heritage. Therefore thus saith the LORD; Behold, against this family do I devise an evil, from which ye shall not remove your necks; neither shall ye go haughtily: for this time is evil." Micah 2:1 ~ 3. May we never turn our eyes from God and head down the path of destruction. For woe is to them that devise iniquity and work evil.
Will you renew your life and live a righteous life?
