Fear of God.

More thoughts about those that are the lost, the last and the least. In Proverbs 31:9, it says, "Open thy mouth, judge righteously, and plead the cause of the poor and needy." We need to be mindful of those who needs help. We should never pass them by and turn a deaf ear to their cries.

In Matthew 10:42, it is written that, "And whosoever shall give to drink unto one of these little ones a cup of cold water only in the name of a disciple, verily I say unto you, he shall in no wise lose his reward." Let us be mindful of the needs of others and not pass them by.

"Favour is deceitful, and beauty is vain: but a woman that feareth the LORD, she shall be praised." Proverbs 31:30. Just thought that this is a beautiful verse and it ties in with Psalm 111:10, "The fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom: a good understanding have all they that do his commandments: his praise endureth for ever."

"Hearing of thy love and faith, which thou hast toward the Lord Jesus, and toward all saints; That the communication of thy faith may become effectual by the acknowledging of every good thing which is in you in Christ Jesus." Philemon 1:5 ~ 6. Let us continue to be exercising love and faith to everyone around us, being thankful to God for all the good things that we have in our lives, being contented always.

It is amazing how Paul stood up for Onesimus, saying in Philemon 1:18, that "If he hath wronged thee, or oweth thee ought, put that on mine account;" May we continue to be on a lookout for our brethen, forgiving them for the past so that looking forward they can become a better minister for God.

Lastly, I am just humbled but how the nature itself would react to God while for us, many of us live in absolute oblivion of God. May Christ be real in our life that we may serve Him with gladness and in reverence. "For, behold, the LORD cometh forth out of his place, and will come down, and tread upon the high places of the earth. And the mountains shall be molten under him, and the valleys shall be cleft, as wax before the fire, and as the waters that are poured down a steep place." Micah 1:3 ~ 4.

Daph: Hail Countess, thank you for much for your blessing! You have been a great blessing to me especially your posts on your blog. Continue to be of a blessing to those around you that we will be able to reach out to the lost, the last and the least around us especially. Let's continue to uphold one another!

Edmund: Hail Viscount, I doubt I will want to do that, remember somewhere in the legal agreement that you have to let them have a place to advertise. Not too sure, but thanks for letting me know that it can be done! Will probably leave it as it is though. :"P

Compassion for the Lost, the Last and the Least.

Just want to thank God for yet another day! May we always turn our eyes upon him, the author and finisher of our faith. Be strong and be of good courage. Never compromise with the world and take a stand for God.

Let’s always be reading the Word of God for, "Every word of God is pure: he is a shield unto them that put their trust in him. Add thou not unto his words, lest he reprove thee, and thou be found a liar." Proverbs 30:5 ~ 6. Indeed the Word of God will be a shield unto us. Are you lacking in faith, then hear the Word of God, “So then faith cometh by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.” May our lives continue to be an example to the others around us.

"Remove far from me vanity and lies: give me neither poverty nor riches; feed me with food convenient for me: Lest I be full, and deny thee, and say, Who is the LORD? or lest I be poor, and steal, and take the name of my God in vain." Proverbs 30:8 ~ 9. Is it not amazing how the Word of God always touches on the topic of balance? May we not be haughty and rich that we think we are the self made man, when it is God who first gave us the opportunity, neither should be poor and lazy, that we labor not to feed ourselves and our family.

May we always be mindful of God’s working in our lives. Not to be too proud, that we are overconfident. Not to be too humble, that it would have seemed that we have lost all our confidence. Balance is the key.

"To speak evil of no man, to be no brawlers, but gentle, shewing all meekness unto all men. For we ourselves also were sometimes foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving divers lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, and hating one another. " Titus 3:2 ~ 3. Living an example is not to speak evil of others. Seriously, if we have nothing better to say about the person, don’t speak evil of the person. How many have left the church because they have been judged wrongly by the people?

Are we sinless ourselves? Are we now like the Pharisees who have caught the woman that was taken in adultery pronouncing judgment on her? “So when they continued asking him, he lifted up himself, and said unto them, He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her.” John 8:7. Should we not encourage one another in this race? Let us show love one to another. “Hatred stirreth up strifes: but love covereth all sins.” Proverbs 10:12.

"And let our's also learn to maintain good works for necessary uses, that they be not unfruitful." Titus 3:14. Let us continue in good works for necessary uses, there are many things to be done, prioritize what is important and do them, so that we may not be unfruitful.

May we show compassion and love always, "And should not I spare Nineveh, that great city, wherein are more than sixscore thousand persons that cannot discern between their right hand and their left hand; and also much cattle?" Jonah 4:11. May we always help those in needs, those that are the lost, the last and the least.

Edmund: Hmmm... I know of ways, in fact in the past blog skins use to do editing and formatting in such a way that the banner will be blocked, for myself, I now use the base that blogger provided in the past and edited the colors to suit my taste. As for the banner, I think it looks fine thus far, so will probably leave it be. Thanks for letting me know though. Appreciate it.

Xiu: Didn't do much, thank God that God is keeping you. It is going to be sometime before seeing you again, may the Lord keep you and preserve you always. Remember this, "For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord." Romans 8:38 ~ 39. May you be ever so near to God, experiencing God's love in your life always. Keep shining for God.

Anne: Hmmm... Didn't know, guess that was how I knew you to being with. I know very little people in GLCC, so it was Nag Not Hunch, who introduced you to me and Nag Not Hunch always calls you with the surname. No fear, I have edited it already, so sorry for the oversight! :"P Thanks for pointing it out to me.

Edmund: Err... That's not the reason lah. :"P Good guess but not the reason. Hope you are doing well! "And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works: Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching." Hebrews 10:24 ~ 25. May we continue to be an encouragement to each other provoking one another unto love and to good works. :"P

Jess: Hail Duchess, how farest thou this beautiful morning? I trust that the Lord keepth you well, mi'lady? Thanks for honoring the Poor Pathetic Powerless Pitiful Puny Peasant Png with your presence. I do hope you would enjoy your stay here! :"P God bless!

Me and My House will Serve God. How About You?

Just want to thank God for the week gone by and for yet another wonderful day. Praise God from whom all blessings flow! Even in our trials and tribulations, God is always with us. He will never leave us nor forsake us.

Did not David says that “Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over. Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.” Psalms 23:4 ~ 6. Indeed goodness and mercy will follow me all the days fo my life, even in the presence of my enemies, even through trials and tribulations, God is always with me.

Let us then leave a righteous life, especially those that are in leadership capacity, let us remember that people are always looking at us. Let us be steadfast in the truth, grounded in God’s Word so that the people will rejoice. "When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice: but when the wicked beareth rule, the people mourn." Proverbs 29:2.

"The righteous considereth the cause of the poor: but the wicked regardeth not to know it." Proverbs 29:7. There are those among us that are less fortunate, genuinely less fortunate than us, do we consider them? Not only considering them, do we help them even it is at our expense, at our inconvenience? God forbid that we become like that of the priest and the Levite who walk pass the certain man who was robbed when he was traveling from Jerusalem to Jericho.

"For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world; Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ; Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works." Titus 2:11 ~ 14. Remember it was Jesus Christ who first saved us, let us then be a good example to all. That we will not bring the name of our Savior to shame! Christ Jesus who died for our sins so that we maybe redeemed, purified and zealous for God!

Oh may revival break forth starting from us. Starting from me. “Oh that thou wouldest rend the heavens, that thou wouldest come down, that the mountains might flow down at thy presence, As when the melting fire burneth, the fire causeth the waters to boil, to make thy name known to thine adversaries, that the nations may tremble at thy presence! When thou didst terrible things which we looked not for, thou camest down, the mountains flowed down at thy presence.” Isaiah 64:1 ~ 3. May God presence be felt always and may we be a good witness for God.

"These things speak, and exhort, and rebuke with all authority. Let no man despise thee." Titus 2:15. For those that are leading, painful and unpopular decisions have to be made, let us do right, even when it is difficult. Do right in the eyes of God not in the eyes of man. Keeping the law, "Where there is no vision, the people perish: but he that keepeth the law, happy is he." Proverbs 29:18.

"A man's pride shall bring him low: but honour shall uphold the humble in spirit." Proverbs 29:23. Let not pride have control over our lives, but let us do the right thing. Live a righteous life. Fearing God, trusting God and not man. "The fear of man bringeth a snare: but whoso putteth his trust in the LORD shall be safe." Proverbs 29:25.

"For word came unto the king of Nineveh, and he arose from his throne, and he laid his robe from him, and covered him with sackcloth, and sat in ashes. And he caused it to be proclaimed and published through Nineveh by the decree of the king and his nobles, saying, Let neither man nor beast, herd nor flock, taste any thing: let them not feed, nor drink water: But let man and beast be covered with sackcloth, and cry mightily unto God: yea, let them turn every one from his evil way, and from the violence that is in their hands. Who can tell if God will turn and repent, and turn away from his fierce anger, that we perish not? And God saw their works, that they turned from their evil way; and God repented of the evil, that he had said that he would do unto them; and he did it not." Jonah 3:7 ~ 10.

Thank God for giving all of us a second chance to be born again to live a life that will be pleasing to God. For those who are yet unsaved, will you come to God now? Will you take the second chance be repeat from evil, so that God will turn from his fierce anger and that we will not perish?

How about you Christian? Will you set aside every weight, every distractions that will turn you away for God? Will you repent and come to God in absolute surrender for God, being a living sacrifice for God? “Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us, Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.” Hebrews 12:1 ~ 2.

“And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.” Joshua 24:15. Me and my house, we will serve the Lord, how about you, my friend?

Living in the Last Days

Another new day, thank God for giving us this day, thank God for guiding us and always being near to us. Thank God for being the great God that will never leave us nor forsake us in the times of adversity. Thank God for His word which said, "And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose." Romans 8:28.

As I read through Proverbs 26, I can't help but remember A Wrong Scum preaching on the "Three Musketeers", namely the Fool, the Slothful and the Talebearer. It never ceases to amaze me that of these 3 the most deadly is that of a Talebearer. The tongue is but one of the smallest member in the body, but yet it is one of the most powerful. When used wrongly, the tongue can bring disastrous effects and results.

Did not the Bible say that "The tongue deviseth mischiefs; like a sharp razor, working deceitfully." Psalm 52:2. Hence the words of the talebearer would really hurt and hurt a person deep. "The words of a talebearer are as wounds, and they go down into the innermost parts of the belly. Burning lips and a wicked heart are like a potsherd covered with silver dross. He that hateth dissembleth with his lips, and layeth up deceit within him; Proverbs 26:23 ~ 24.

Let us watch the words we say but as we are living in the last days, we are surrounded by terrible people, may be learn to not be as like them but to be set apart from them. "This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, Without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, Traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away. " II Timothy 3:1 ~ 5.

"Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution." II Timothy 3:12. In doing so we may suffer persecution and even attract the enemy's fiery darts in our lives, in his attempt to stumble us, to cause us to fall, but let us hold fast to the Word of God. Remembering that "All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works." II Timothy 3:16 ~ 17.

How many times have we read through the Word of God as a duty, or found that there was nothing we can learnt even after reading a passage? However, the Word of God here says all, all scripture is profitable, for reproof, for correction and for instruction. It is in reading and learning the Word of God may we draw nearer to God, to lead a spirit filled life, doing good works for the glory of God and not for the applause of man.

As I read through Obadiah, this passage particularly struck me, "Thou shouldest not have entered into the gate of my people in the day of their calamity; yea, thou shouldest not have looked on their affliction in the day of their calamity, nor have laid hands on their substance in the day of their calamity; Neither shouldest thou have stood in the crossway, to cut off those of his that did escape; neither shouldest thou have delivered up those of his that did remain in the day of distress. For the day of the LORD is near upon all the heathen: as thou hast done, it shall be done unto thee: thy reward shall return upon thine own head." Obadiah 1:13 ~ 15.

Let us always be an encourager to those around us, even those that we consider are our enemies, did not the Word of God that, "If ye fulfil the royal law according to the scripture, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself, ye do well:" James 2:8. Neighbour is defined as everyone around you. May we remember not to jeer at others, even our enemies for it is written, "Rejoice not when thine enemy falleth, and let not thine heart be glad when he stumbleth: Lest the LORD see it, and it displease him, and he turn away his wrath from him." Proverbs 24:17 ~ 18.

May we strive to live a life that is Christlike, not in our own strength, but be wholly dependent on the Holy Spirit. So help me God.

Marcus: Thank God that is an encouragement to you and thank you for popping by. Do continue to be a blessing to those around you. You have been a great blessing to me! :"P Keep pressing on for God, not I but Christ!

A Good Testimony

There is so much to be learnt today, not to say there were not as much in the past few days, but the passages today were so amazing. Let's look first at Proverbs 25:9 ~ 12. "Debate thy cause with thy neighbour himself; and discover not a secret to another: Lest he that heareth it put thee to shame, and thine infamy turn not away. A word fitly spoken is like apples of gold in pictures of silver. As an earring of gold, and an ornament of fine gold, so is a wise reprover upon an obedient ear."

How important words are? They can either be used to build a person up or to tear a person down. It is sad to see that some have spread unfounded rumors to others on pretext of "praying for the person", let this not be so in our midst. May we sought to encourage each other for the furtherance of God's kingdom.

I am sure a most of us have people that we dislike or have made an enemy of in this life, but Bible teach that not only are we to love our enemies but "If thine enemy be hungry, give him bread to eat; and if he be thirsty, give him water to drink: For thou shalt heap coals of fire upon his head, and the LORD shall reward thee." Proverbs 25:21 ~ 22. How true this is. Instead of returning evil for evil, this is something that will really throw our enemies off guard and the Lord will know and watch and keep us.

We need to of course be wise and strike a balance, for did not the Lord say in Matthew 10:16, "Behold, I send you forth as sheep in the midst of wolves: be ye therefore wise as serpents, and harmless as doves." We need to be discerning and know when and what applies to which situation for "To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:" Ecclesiastes 3:1.

Moeover, we need to watch the motive why are we doing what we are doing. "It is not good to eat much honey: so for men to search their own glory is not glory." Proverbs 25:27. We need to always remember that service is to God and not to man, not for ourselves. We are all part of the body of Christ, only by functioning as a whole, for God, will we be effective.

"Thou therefore, my son, be strong in the grace that is in Christ Jesus. And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also." II Timothy 2:1 ~ 2. Let us continue to teach what we have learn to faithful man in discipleship for the glory of God so that there is reproduction. Not so much to disciple who we want to disciple. Many Christians made this mistake, myself included, but we have to disciple the faithful person.

"Thou therefore endure hardness, as a good soldier of Jesus Christ. No man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of this life; that he may please him who hath chosen him to be a soldier." II Timothy 2:3 ~ 4. We are but soldiers fighting a war, let us never forget that in the comforts of this life. Of course we are to strike a balance, no need to live in tents when we have beds but not to be so comfortable in our beds that we turn a deaf ear to the lost crying out to us.

"Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. But shun profane and vain babblings: for they will increase unto more ungodliness." II Timothy 2:15 ~ 16. So let us study diligently the Word of God and cease from words that do not build up those around us so that we may be a good testimony.

"And the servant of the Lord must not strive; but be gentle unto all men, apt to teach, patient, In meekness instructing those that oppose themselves; if God peradventure will give them repentance to the acknowledging of the truth;" II Timothy 2:24 ~ 25. When we serve may it be that we are doing in gentless and with patience. Remember that "But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law." Galatians 5:22 ~ 23.

It is comforting at the end of it all that when I read how much Israel have done against God, God still have mercy upon them. For those who have stray far away from God, do come back to God. "And I will bring again the captivity of my people of Israel, and they shall build the waste cities, and inhabit them; and they shall plant vineyards, and drink the wine thereof; they shall also make gardens, and eat the fruit of them. And I will plant them upon their land, and they shall no more be pulled up out of their land which I have given them, saith the LORD thy God." Amos 9:14 ~ 15. Let this be so in your life as well. Then we will indeed be a good testimony to those around.

Wisdom...

Learning quite a fair bit form these familiar passages. It never ceases to amaze me how much we can learn from these passages. Started off with Proverbs 24 today. Immediately this verse struck me, "Through wisdom is an house builded; and by understanding it is established:" Proverbs 24:3.

Many times, we do things without wisdom, without planning and worse still without God. Then we wondered why we failed? Is it not obvious? Didn't the Bible say that, "Except the LORD build the house, they labour in vain that build it: except the LORD keep the city, the watchman waketh but in vain." Psalms 127:1.

Smiliarly in Proverbs 24:6, "For by wise counsel thou shalt make thy war: and in multitude of counsellors there is safety." In war, we always need to be prepared and with God and with wisdom, can we wage a successful war. Ain't we in a war now? Where the souls of man are fought? Let us never be too comfortable with life that we turn our deaf ears to the lost and dying world out there.

Furthermore, I was encouraged when I read that, "For a just man falleth seven times, and riseth up again: but the wicked shall fall into mischief." Proverbs 24:16. Let us be as the just man, that even when we fall we should rise up again. In fact let us look at God, so that we will not fall in the first place. "For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind." II Timothy 1:7. May we be a living sacrifice for God. Depending on Him forever and ever in our race here on Earth.

Seek after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness!

Well, today was another great day. Started reading Proverbs 23 and think there is just so much things to learn from there but just want to point out the few which really struck me. The first thing that struck me was from Proverbs 23:4 ~ 5, "Labour not to be rich: cease from thine own wisdom. Wilt thou set thine eyes upon that which is not? for riches certainly make themselves wings; they fly away as an eagle toward heaven."

Those of us who are working need to be mindful of why we are doing what we are doing. Are we chasing after the things of this world which we can never bring along? Do we see the things of these world as how Job sees it? "And said, Naked came I out of my mother's womb, and naked shall I return thither: the LORD gave, and the LORD hath taken away; blessed be the name of the LORD." Job 1:21. Let us not cling on to the temporal things of this world.

Let us lead a life that is an example to the others, that we may be a source of encouragement to them. "My son, if thine heart be wise, my heart shall rejoice, even mine. Yea, my reins shall rejoice, when thy lips speak right things. Let not thine heart envy sinners: but be thou in the fear of the LORD all the day long. For surely there is an end; and thine expectation shall not be cut off. Hear thou, my son, and be wise, and guide thine heart in the way." Proverbs 23:15 ~ 19.

Let us fear the Lord and our lips speak only the things that will build things up and not tear people down. May we always guard our heart and be content with what we have. "But godliness with contentment is great gain. For we brought nothing into this world, and it is certain we can carry nothing out. And having food and raiment let us be therewith content. " I Timothy 6:6 ~ 8.

Whatever we have, may we be good steward to the things that God have entrusted to us. Thank God for what he have given us instead of being jealous over the things of others. Let us always be a good example and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness. "But thou, O man of God, flee these things; and follow after righteousness, godliness, faith, love, patience, meekness. Fight the good fight of faith, lay hold on eternal life, whereunto thou art also called, and hast professed a good profession before many witnesses." I Timothy 6:11 ~ 12.

Let us fight a good fight and not end up like the Israel of old where God have chastise them but yet they were stubborn and refused to correct themselves. Let us not be like Amaziah, who instead of repenting, he challenged God's prophet Amos in Amos Chapter 7. Let us obey those which God has place over us, especially those in church. "Obey them that have the rule over you, and submit yourselves: for they watch for your souls, as they that must give account, that they may do it with joy, and not with grief: for that is unprofitable for you." Hebrews 13:17.

Importance of God's Word

Well not exactly random, but was reading a couple of passages today and think there is so much thoughts to share, so instead of a solitary heading, will just use "Random Thoughts" to be it. (Edit: At the end of it all, it didn't seemed as random as I though, so will change the title to the Importance of God's Word.)

"A good name is rather to be chosen than great riches, and loving favour rather than silver and gold." Proverbs 22:1. What a truth, the first verse of the first passage already spoken to me. How true this is. It is so much easier to accumulate riches. Even after losing your wealth, it is possible to recoup them fairly easily or at least easier than losing your good name.

How do we lose our good name? Mostly it is due to our foolish and sinful actions that brought our names to shame. Hence the need to draw near to God, read His word daily. "Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee." Psalm 119:11.

Further down the passage we read more on the need for trust in the Lord and the reading of importance of God's word. "That thy trust may be in the LORD, I have made known to thee this day, even to thee. Have not I written to thee excellent things in counsels and knowledge, That I might make thee know the certainty of the words of truth; that thou mightest answer the words of truth to them that send unto thee? " Proverbs 22:19~21.

Only with an intimate knowledge of God's word will we then be able to help and answer the problems that we and the people around us faced in life. Trust God, for God knows what is best for us. All the guidance, the principles that we need in this life are all written in His word. Oh, if only we seek God and His word and not the self help books that lined the shelves in the book stores and library. God's word is the living word, ever wondered why after all these years the Bible is still the bestseller over and above all books that were every published?

Moving on to I Timothy 5, I was especially struck by this verse, "I charge thee before God, and the Lord Jesus Christ, and the elect angels, that thou observe these things without preferring one before another, doing nothing by partiality." I Timothy 5:21. We should always be impartial in all that we do, no preference should be shown. This is especially true for those who are in leadership position. Once the members observed that one member is favored over another, then strife will bound to occur, the good name of the leader will then be brought to shame. Trust once lost, is hard to be regain.

Let's remember that the biblical leadership is to serve not to boss around. Serve the people that you lead.

Finally reading on Amos 6, it struck me on how the Lord see those we believe that we can live on our own strength, that we are Self Made Man. "Ye which rejoice in a thing of nought, which say, Have we not taken to us horns by our own strength? But, behold, I will raise up against you a nation, O house of Israel, saith the LORD the God of hosts; and they shall afflict you from the entering in of Hemath unto the river of the wilderness." Amos 6:13~14.

Let's not do things in our own strength, lead we become proud and fall to sin. Let us always remember God's word, which will be a guidance to us away from sin and that we can encourage those around us to press on to higher ground. May the Lord keep you and watch over you.

Who is our God?

"For, lo, he that formeth the mountains, and createth the wind, and declareth unto man what is his thought, that maketh the morning darkness, and treadeth upon the high places of the earth, The LORD, The God of hosts, is his name." Amos 4:13

Just pondering about this, is our God amazing? He who created the world, this is the same God who died on the cross for our sins who bid us to come to Him for all who are weak and heavy laden. Sometimes problems exist to turn us to God, to keep our eyes upon Him. Is this not the case with Paul?

"And lest I should be exalted above measure through the abundance of the revelations, there was given to me a thorn in the flesh, the messenger of Satan to buffet me, lest I should be exalted above measure. For this thing I besought the Lord thrice, that it might depart from me. And he said unto me, My grace is sufficient for thee: for my strength is made perfect in weakness. Most gladly therefore will I rather glory in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me. Therefore I take pleasure in infirmities, in reproaches, in necessities, in persecutions, in distresses for Christ's sake: for when I am weak, then am I strong." 2 Corinthians 12:7~10.

The danger that most of us face is doing things in our our strength, exalting ourselves above measure. Is not God all knowing and all loving? God watches over us and guides us through. Nothing happens without His knowledge.

"The life is more than meat, and the body is more than raiment. Consider the ravens: for they neither sow nor reap; which neither have storehouse nor barn; and God feedeth them: how much more are ye better than the fowls? And which of you with taking thought can add to his stature one cubit? If ye then be not able to do that thing which is least, why take ye thought for the rest? Consider the lilies how they grow: they toil not, they spin not; and yet I say unto you, that Solomon in all his glory was not arrayed like one of these. If then God so clothe the grass, which is to day in the field, and to morrow is cast into the oven; how much more will he clothe you, O ye of little faith? And seek not ye what ye shall eat, or what ye shall drink, neither be ye of doubtful mind. For all these things do the nations of the world seek after: and your Father knoweth that ye have need of these things. But rather seek ye the kingdom of God; and all these things shall be added unto you." Luke 12:23~30.

If God watches over the ravens and feed them, If God watches over the lilies and cloth them, will not God look after us? Let us then rejoice to know that out God is good all the time, our God is the God who created the world and our God will watch over us. May we continue to draw nearer and nearer to God. Life is short, let God be our all in all.

Iris: Another long day? Bleah... Don't remember JC life being so long. Must have been all the additional work and discussion groups. Well, do press on for God. May your life be a good testimony to those around you that they will see Jesus in you.

Shinjolover: Hmmm... Thank God for that. Rather that the blog be a source of blessing to everyone that visits than one that is popular. Here's praying that hearts will be touched and souls will be saved. As for the present, you can pass to me when we next meet up? Quite frequent in GLCC these days, so do find me there! :"P

Daph: Thanks for dropping, may it be a pleasant day for your presently. Continue to live a life that is surrendered to God, so that when it's all been said and done, we can give an account to God where God will be pleased and said, "Well done, my good and faithful servant!"

Chiawen: Well, glad things make much more sense now. Communication is the key! Thank God for you. Especially during these times. Can't seem to thank you enough though! :"P Continue to shine for God! Excited to see how God is working in your life and in the lives of those around you! :"P Praying for you daily.

Edmund: Hi! Thanks for dropping by. Hope you are doing better now with your ankle. Don't overstrain yourself and forget about the injury then aggravating it further. Continue to live a life of absolute surrender, in total dependence of God and God alone.

Cheryl: You have been a blessing to me. Thanks for everything, may the friendship forged continue to grow and stop getting me into trouble! By the way, did your Cbox died or something. It seemed to have disappeared altogether. Pink Rock Rawks! :"P

Are we ungrateful?

"Yet destroyed I the Amorite before them, whose height was like the height of the cedars, and he was strong as the oaks; yet I destroyed his fruit from above, and his roots from beneath. Also I brought you up from the land of Egypt, and led you forty years through the wilderness, to possess the land of the Amorite. And I raised up of your sons for prophets, and of your young men for Nazarites. Is it not even thus, O ye children of Israel? saith the LORD. But ye gave the Nazarites wine to drink; and commanded the prophets, saying, Prophesy not." Amos 2:9~12.

Well, this is the second time I am retyping this, was about to complete and publish the first time but the laptop just died on me. :"P Oh well, thank God for the opportunity to recollect my thoughts and may this serve as a reminder to me since this will be the second time I am writing this. May God help me and I rewrite my post.

Story is told of a young, intelligent, Chinese man who was yet unsaved and was travelling with Hudson Tayor. While they were attempting to cross the river, the Chinese man fell into the river, being a non-swimmer, he gradually became submerged in the waters. Hudson Tayor then saw 2 fishermen nearby and bid them to come and cast their nets into the water, so that they can draw the Chinese man up.

To his surprise, the fishermen refused to help as it is inconvenient for them to do so. However, they said they would reconsider if Hudson Tayor would pay them 20 dollars for their efforts. With the prospects of the Chinese man dying, Hudson Tayor answered that he don't have so much money with them but will give him all that he have with him which was about 14 dollars.

The fisherman then reluctantly and leisurely row over and cast their nets. However, they were a little too late, but the time they drew up the Chinese man, he was no longer breathing. As Hudson Tayor tried to revive the Chinese man in vain, the fishermen were clamoring for their reward.

Sounds familiar? Before we condemn the fishermen, let us consider the story again. Aren't we like the fishermen? Let's not talk about the Street Evangelism even, how many of us have loved ones, family, relatives, best friends, close friends, good friends, friends who are yet unsaved? Have we ever shared the good news with them or is it inconvenient to do so?

Similarly, before we condemn the Israelites who are unthankful to God for all the things he have done for them, are we not the same? Are we not like the Israelites who have forgotten about God in our busy lives, studying, working... Are we near to God? Are we seeking first the kingdom of God?

When we pray, assuming that we do pray daily, do we pray to God expecting a quick fix it solution? Especially in our fast paced world, answers to problems are demanded almost instantaneously, are we expecting God to do the same? Are we grateful to what God has do for our in each of our lives or are we ungrateful?

May we always seek God and wait upon the Lord, so that we can mount up with wings as eagles, so that we can run and not be weary, walk and not faint. As we pray and make decisions, let us wait, I say wait on the Lord as there is no good thing that God will withhold for us. God knows us best. So may God's will be done in everyone life, not my will but Your will be done in my life.

God's will cannot lead us where God's grace will not keep us. May God's grace lead us all the way. When the going gets tough, let's turn our eyes upon Jesus.

Judgement and Sin

Well, here is a start to a new book of the Bible - Amos. As I read through Chapter 1, the whole chapter is talking about the various judgements pronounced upon certain groups of people for there repeated disobedience and sin against God.

Then I begin to reflect on my own life, how many times have we sin and then assumed that no one knows or it is okay? God forbid. God knows. Even when there is no one around, or should I say even if we think that no one seems to be around, God is definitely around.

"But if ye will not do so, behold, ye have sinned against the LORD: and be sure your sin will find you out." Numbers 32:23.

Indeed our sin will find out out and not only that, if we have unconfessed sins in our lives, the Lord will not hear our prayers.

"If I regard iniquity in my heart, the Lord will not hear me: " Psalm 66:18.

However the good news is that if we confess our sins God is ever willing to forgive us.

"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. " 1 John 1:9.

Let us come to God and let our lives be one that is surrendered totally to God, in utter dependence of Him so that our lives will be indeed a living sacrifice to God. So that in so doing, we may be useful vessels for God to work through us. That indeed Christ may be seen through us. Not I, but Christ.

Marcus: Mi'lord, I am but a humble peasant. Thanks for dropping by. I am honored by your presence. Do keep the fire glowing, may the 3 of you be a light that will shine and impact the whole school! "The fear of the LORD is the instruction of wisdom; and before honour is humility." Proverbs 15:33.

Joel 3 and Prophecy

Just finish reading Joel 3 which also happens to be the final chapter of Joel. Much time is spend on the prophecy about the last days, which is actually the time we are living now. Many prophecy about the start of the tribulation is being fulfilled even as of now.

We are seeing more of wars and rumours of war, there is a widening gap of the rich and the poor where the poor are dying by large numbers each day. Natural disasters seems to occur more and more frequently, the last one near Taiwan disrupted telecommunication services in quite a number of countries. Even Singapore felt the impact as the submarince cables, SEA ME WE (Believe it is South East Asia ~ Middle East ~ Western Europe) are hit, resulting in the poor connection for the internet.

At this time, what are we doing as Christians? Are we reaching out to the lost and dying world out there? I am just remembered about the Street Evangelism that occurs every Thursday. Do we continue to sow the seeds? Do we only tell the gospel only on Thursday or even not at all these days? God forbid.

How many of us still have close family members, such as brothers, sisters and parents that are still unsaved? Our classmates in school? Our colleagues at the office? Our friends who we claim we are close to? Are we really being a good testimony in each of our sphere of influence? Lord help us.

Lord help us to strike a balance, Lord give us the courage, Lord make us humble and not proud. That we depend on your strength and not on our own.

"But he giveth more grace. Wherefore he saith, God resisteth the proud, but giveth grace unto the humble." James 4:6. It never cease to be a good reminder that God not only hates the proud, but God resist the proud.

This is again repeated in 1 Peter 5:5, "Likewise, ye younger, submit yourselves unto the elder. Yea, all of you be subject one to another, and be clothed with humility: for God resisteth the proud, and giveth grace to the humble." Let us be humble and not proud and think that we are better than those around us, that we will serve on another.

Rise up Christian soldiers! Onward for God, we have a world to save! Here's my favourite piece from the recently concluded musical, Shout Hallelujah, may we be able to do that and tell the world about the good news! A special thanks to Muddle Wine for typing the words out.

Come to the feet of our infant Redeemer
Come where today in a manger He lies
Lift up our voice in a song of devotion
Let our hosanna with gladness arise

Tell how He came from the throne of His Father
Came to the world in the likeness of man
Hail and exalt Him, the Son of the highest
Shout Hallelujah, again and again

Hallelujah! Hallelujah!
Shout Hallelujah again and again
Hallelujah! Hallelujah!
Shout Hallelujah again and again

Over the plains and the mountains of Judah
Prophets beheld and His coming foretold
Sang of the love, and compassion that moved Him
Love that is purer and better than gold

Hallelujah! Hallelujah!
Shout Hallelujah again and again
Hallelujah! Hallelujah!
Shout Hallelujah again and again
Again and again!

Come to the feet of our infant Redeemer
Come in the light of this beautiful morn
There to the hearts of the poor and the lonely
Carry the tidings that Jesus is born

Tell how He came from the throne of His Father
Came to the world in the likeness of man
Hail and exalt Him, the Son of the highest
Shout Hallelujah, again and again

Hallelujah! Hallelujah!
Shout Hallelujah again and again
Hallelujah! Hallelujah!
Shout Hallelujah again and again

Nerdy Nerd Nerd! :O Thanks for your prayers. Really appreciate it. We are indeed weak. May the Lord find us faithful.

Time Management!

Another week have passed so quickly, in fact another WEEKEND have passed so quickly. Time and tide really waits for no man. It is amazing how time passes so fast especially when you are really enjoying it.

In our fast paced society, it is even more amazing how more and more people are NEVER punctual for appointments and meetings. Chinese wedding dinners NEVER EVER start on time. Even when we meet up with our close and loved ones, it seems that the closer the person is to us, the more we "take advantage" of the relationship and end up late at the appointment.

Mornings are extremely terrible. I don't understand how the 5 minutes in the morning before I wake up seems to be so much more precious than the 50 minutes in the evening before I sleep.

Church service is another FANTASTIC example. We always take for granted that God is a loving God so we can afford to be late. What an attitude. Lord, may we honor you and come early for service. May we honor you that when we will honor our words to our family, friends, colleagues. May our word be our bond. Let's watch our time and be early if not on time for our meetings and gatherings.

"But let your communication be, Yea, yea; Nay, nay: for whatsoever is more than these cometh of evil." Matthew 5:37. May we honor our word, letting our yea be yea and our nay be nay.

Do we honor God? Let us honor God and let our word hold. That our word will be our bond in everything. Let us be faithful in all these little things, so that we will be faithful in greater ones. Let us set an example, so that other may follow. May God help us.

Was reading Joel 2 today and came across this verse in Joel 2:21, "Fear not, O land; be glad and rejoice: for the LORD will do great things."

Indeed God our Lord who is good all the time will do great things! I am excited to see how the Lord will continue to change us and watch over us, so that we may be more Christlike. Let us grow closer in our walk with him!

New Book of the Bible - Joel

Harlow, finally we now cross into new territory! Here is a short introduction of Joel, "Joel, son of Pethuel, was a native of Judah. He was well-educated and he was a gifted poet. His book has two main parts. The first describes a locust plague and a drought. The second is more apocalyptic. Joel sees in both the locust plague and drought the judgment of God. Just as the locusts devoured the land, so will the land be devoured by enemy armies, unless the nation repents of its sins. The Lord promises the people who repent, whether they are Jewish or non-Jewish, an ultimate deliverance from disaster." Source: http://www.aboutbibleprophecy.com/p29.htm

The verse that really spoke to me was from Joel 1:15, "Alas for the day! for the day of the LORD is at hand, and as a destruction from the Almighty shall it come."

Indeed, the day of the Lord is at hand, looking into our current situation, we who are living in the last days, are we living for God or are we living for ourselves? When we have to do the final accounting of our lives, what do you have to say for yourself? Are we too busy chasing the things of the world that have been impressed on us by the world to chase or are we going to run a good race and fight a good fight while we are here on Earth?

This brought me to a song which I have heard recently, "When its all been said and done" Here are the lyrics for the song.

When its all been said and done
There is just one thing that matters
Did I do my best to live for truth
Did I live my life for You

When its all been said and done
All my treasures will mean nothing
Only what I’ve done for love’s reward
Will stand the test of time

Lord Your mercy is so great
That You look beyond our weakness
And find purest gold in miry clay
Making sinners into saints

I will always sing your praise
Here on earth and ever after
For You’ve shown me
Heaven’s my true Home
When its all been said and done
You’re my life when life is gone

When its all been said and done
There is just one thing that matters
Did I do my best to live for truth
Did I live my life for You
Lord I’ll live my life for You

May what do be for God and not for ourselves, was watching this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pc5SdTV6rYk and found that it is very true in the lives of many. Most of us have been studying hard to get good grades so that we can move along the path from PSLE to O Levels to A Levels to University. Nowadays even a degree is not good enough and many of us went on to get our post-graduate be it Masters or PhD so as to get a good job and earn and then hopefully find someone dumb enough to marry us, have children and die. Is that what life is all about?

What have church become? Are we fufilling the great commission? "Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen." Matthew 28:19 ~ 20.

Are we playing church or do we really have the love for the people around us? Do we really love God? What are our motives?

"And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments is, Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord: And thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind, and with all thy strength: this is the first commandment. And the second is like, namely this, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. There is none other commandment greater than these." Mark 12:29 ~ 31.

Let re examine ourselves ao that we may be the start of the revival here and impact our world for the better. Onward Christian soldiers!

Life and Backsliding...

Well, well, there are more visitors nowadays. Thanks to all for popping by, friends and all. Appreciate your presence, feel free to tag on the Cbox! Promise I will reply as soon as possible! :"P

Been reading on Hosea 13 and 14, and found a few striking verses. Hosea 13 talks about the Lord 's anger against Israel. Israel have turned their eyes away from God. The part that strike me most is the shortness and insignificance of our lives detailed in Hosea 13: 3, "Therefore they shall be as the morning cloud and as the early dew that passeth away, as the chaff that is driven with the whirlwind out of the floor, and as the smoke out of the chimney."

Isn't it true how short and passing our lives are. Man always sought to accomplished great deeds, hoping to be remembered, but how often another will appear on the scene and outdo the accomplishments of the pervious person, then who remembers him?

Was it not stated in James 4:14, "Whereas ye know not what shall be on the morrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away."

How short life is and yet how many of us are running and pushing ourselves so furiously to accomplish things in this life that is not eternal. How many of us have strayed and backslided so far from God? However, fear not, our God is good, all the time. Not only is God good, God is forgiving.

"I will heal their backsliding, I will love them freely: for mine anger is turned away from him. I will be as the dew unto Israel: he shall grow as the lily, and cast forth his roots as Lebanon. His branches shall spread, and his beauty shall be as the olive tree, and his smell as Lebanon. They that dwell under his shadow shall return; they shall revive as the corn, and grow as the vine: the scent thereof shall be as the wine of Lebanon." Hosea 14 : 4 ~ 7.

All we need to do is to come back to God and he will heal us of our backsliding. Would you not want to be in fellowship with God? In the centre of God's will?

"Who is wise, and he shall understand these things? prudent, and he shall know them? for the ways of the LORD are right, and the just shall walk in them: but the transgressors shall fall therein." Hosea 14: 9.

Let us be wise and prudent. For indeed the ways of the Lord right and let us then be as the just to walk in thw ways of the Lord so as not to fall like the transgressors. Do turn to God and not stray anymore if you have been. Christian, hold dear to the Lord and his ways. Fear God, for that is the beginnning of wisdom.

Will leave now with a song from Psalms 19: 7 ~ 10.

"The law of the LORD is perfect, converting the soul: the testimony of the LORD is sure, making wise the simple. The statutes of the LORD are right, rejoicing the heart: the commandment of the LORD is pure, enlightening the eyes. The fear of the LORD is clean, enduring for ever: the judgments of the LORD are true and righteous altogether. More to be desired are they than gold, yea, than much fine gold: sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb."

Continuing on Hosea and Random Thoughts

Been progressing along the book of Hosea. Today part of Chapter 12 was on Jacob, but what really, really struck was the following verse.

"Therefore turn thou to thy God: keep mercy and judgment and wait on thy God continually." Hosea 12:6.

Recently have been singing the song "Turn Your Eyes Upon Jesus", and here we have that we are to turn to the Lord who keep mercy and judgement. Moreover we are to wait on thy God.

How often do we run faster than God with all our human plans? Was reading recently that Man proposes but God disposes. Are we living in the centre of God's will or are we living our own will? Are we living a total surrendered life as Christians, being a living sacrifice for God on a day by day, moment by moment basis?

Let us come to God and make right with him, humble ourselves so that we can be useful vessels for Him. Turn and look at Jesus.

O soul, are you weary and troubled?
No light in the darkness you see?
There’s a light for a look at the Savior,
And life more abundant and free!

Turn your eyes upon Jesus,
Look full in His wonderful face,
And the things of earth will grow strangely dim,
In the light of His glory and grace.

Through death into life everlasting
He passed, and we follow Him there;
Over us sin no more hath dominion—
For more than conquerors we are!

His Word shall not fail you—He promised;
Believe Him, and all will be well:
Then go to a world that is dying,
His perfect salvation to tell!

"And also that every man should eat and drink, and enjoy the good of all his labour, it is the gift of God. I know that, whatsoever God doeth, it shall be for ever: nothing can be put to it, nor any thing taken from it: and God doeth it, that men should fear before him. That which hath been is now; and that which is to be hath already been; and God requireth that which is past." Ecclesiastes 3:13 ~ 15.

My God is good, all the time. All the time my God is good! What my God does, it shall be forever and NOTHING can be put to it or thaken from it. It is great to know that NOTHING happens by chance and my God is in ABSOLUTE control.

Thank you Lord for raising Fashion Cow Anathema to assist me in the organising of the outings for the Uth Ministry. It is really wonderful to have know Fashion Cow Anathema and Fashion Cow Anathema has been such a wonderful blessing to me! Do press on and continue to impact those around you! Street Evangelism Report

Acts 1:8 "But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth."

If not for A Wrong Scum, I wouldn't have come. It's really an eye-opener for me. God opened doors, people got out of comfort zone to approach strangers. People who are serving in this ministry need to have a heart for the lost & be sensitive. I think one should come down at least once before dismissing this ministry to have a feel of the ground. People are not just people but have souls. It's a good reminder for me for I am more in contact with believers. There is a more urgent need for the unsaved. There is a way to approach the unsaved verses the backslidden Christians. While reaching strangers, I also thought about we hardly bring up the Gospel with loved ones / friends / relatives, the familiar faces around us. We need constant prayer for this ministry. We need to know what the other parts of the Body is doing to encourage & to be encouraged. It's a different ball game at Street E - just the Gospel, no apologetics. I am blessed by the commitment & people who take time to come. All of you have been good testimonies to me. You are willing to share with strangers.

These were my thoughts but rearranged nicely by Any Excel Mania. I strongly everyone to take the time to go down for Street Evangelism at least once even if it is not your gift not your ministy, I am sure you would be encouraged as I am.

Father, son and donkey...

Once upon a time, there was a father and son who wanted to sell a donkey, so the father set out to the market with the son riding on the donkey and the father walking beside.

Soon they passed a group of people who started commenting loudly, "What an unfilial son, sitting on the donkey, while the father walks!" Upon hearing this the father switched places with his son, so now the father sat on the donkey while the son walk beside.

Soon they passed another group of people who upon seeing them started commenting loudly, "What a heartless father, sitting on the donkey, while the son walks!" Upon hearing this the father got the son and both of the sat of the donkey.

Finally they passed yet another group of people who saw both of them sitting on the donkey, started commenting loudly, "What cruel people, how can the donkey take the load of 2?" Guess what the father and son did then? They ended carrying the donkey to the market to sell...

Isn't that foolish? The donkey is a mode of transport, but instead of transporting people, the people ended up carrying the donkey. May we not listen to advise of others or the clever thinking of our own, but trust in the Lord.

"Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. Be not wise in thine own eyes: fear the LORD, and depart from evil." Proverbs 3:5-7.

You have truly been a great encouragement for me. Have always been praying for you, that God will use you and you will always cast your dependence on Him and Him alone, not in your own strength but in utter dependence on God's strength.

Jaw So Seem and Bowling

Here's just a short break from the norm. We had a recent outing for the Uth and one of my friends took a clip of the most handsome and excellent bowler in town, though I should have it here for archive's sake! Enjoy!

Lost of Strength...

Well guess today is a real start to the new year of 2007. Most of the people would have gone back to work or to their school. A new chapter in our lives. Wonder how 2007 will turn out. 2006 was a good year all in all, there are ups and downs but the lessons learnt were invaluable. May 2007 be a better year for all, such that we will all continue to live for Christ.

It is amazing how we love to take things or worse still people for granted. Most of us only realised the importance of the thing or the people when they are no longer around. Things can be anything, such a unity in a family, friendship forged... People, well, guess that need not be explained further.

I thank God that He make me realised who are really the ones who are important in my life. Nowadays have been spending much more time with the people in GLCC than ever. This is what life is like. It is back to the good old days where I spend almost everyday in a week in church when I was much younger, but due to circumstances and events, it became only Sunday and then only Sunday service.

However, I guess that God reworked everything and now I am happier now, more so than before. Less worries. However, come now 2007, there is going to be greater struggles ahead. Decision to be made and balance to be restored. May the Lord guide me as I balance work, studies and church.

Want to take the time to thank the following people who made a difference to my life recently,

Whackier: Thanks for opening your place during New Year, guess I managed to get to know you better recently. Hope that God will continue to use you even in your studies overseas. May God continue to guide and lead you, that you will be in the centre of God's will.

Whackier Hints: Thanks for your random thoughts, it has been very encouraging to hear how God is using you in your life. May even the start of your new year be a better one. Know it is tough but I am sure you can do it in God's strength.

A Wrong Scum: Hmmm... Didn't know you will turn out to be such a great preacher! Like the way you presented the truth, the fool, the slothful and the talebearer! Will remember that sermon. I am glad to see God using you to do great things for Him, may that continue to be the case.

Keek Who: Thanks for being such an encouragement and unwavering friend. I am sure all things happen for the good of those that love the Lord and are called according to His purpose. Appreciate your presence and you have been a great blessing to me.

Fashion Cow Anathema: Truly a blessing to have you around. Glad to have known you and your sister more these few days. Never knew that you live so close to my place actually. Think you are a really talented person and do continue to be a blessing to the others around you even as you step into a new environment.

Lynch Rate: I have never seen another person who is so strong willed in almost so many aspects of like. Think the Rock is a good nickname, though I don't understand why the Rock is Pink as well. May your faith be that of the Rock, unwavering and always a standard for others to rally to.

Was reading along Hosea Chapter 7 and this verse struck me very much.

"Strangers have devoured his strength, and he knoweth it not: yea, gray hairs are here and there upon him, yet he knoweth not." Hosea 7:9.

May we not live as such, where we have lost our strength but yet know it not. An example is that of Samson's life...
