Another article from the mail...
Harlow, I am in the school computer laboratory... Well, think it is going to get pretty stressful as it is less than one month to the examinations... I need to get my act together and push through this.
Life is so stressful nowadays. I need a good long break! People, do pray for me yeah? So drain and tired nowadays. Oh well, no matter what we still have to live our lives! Let's hit it! Yosh! :P We shall prevail!
Anyway, got this from my email. Thought I would just share it with everyone! Have a blessed week ahead, people! Yosh!
Time
A young man learns what's most important in life from the guy next door.
It had been some time since Jack had seen the old man. College, girls, career, and life itself got in the way. In fact, Jack moved clear across the country in pursuit of his dreams. There, in the rush of his busy life, Jack had little time to think about the past and often no time to spend with his wife and son. He was working on his future, and nothing could stop
him.
Over the phone, his mother told him, "Mr. Belser died last night. The funeral is Wednesday." Memories flashed through his mind like an old newsreel as he sat quietly remembering his childhood days.
"Jack, did you hear me?"
"Oh, sorry, Mom. Yes, I heard you. It's been so long since I thought of him. I'm sorry, but I honestly thought he died years ago," Jack said.
"Well, he didn't forget you. Every time I saw him he'd ask how you were doing. He'd reminisce about the many days you spent over 'his side of the fence' as he put it," Mom told him.
"I loved that old house he lived in," Jack said.
"You know, Jack, after your father died, Mr. Belser stepped in to make sure you had a man's influence in your life," she said.
"He's the one who taught me carpentry," he said. "I wouldn't be in this business if it weren't for him. He spent a lot of time teaching me things he thought were important...Mom, I'll be there for the funeral," Jack said.
As busy as he was, he kept his word. Jack caught the next flight to his hometown. Mr. Belser's funeral was small and uneventful. He had no children of his own, and most of his relatives had passed away. The night before he had to return home, Jack and his Mom stopped by to see the old house next door one more time. Standing in the doorway, Jack paused for a moment. It was like crossing over into another dimension, a leap through space and time. The house was exactly as he remembered. Every step held memories. Every picture, every piece of furniture....Jack stopped suddenly.
"What's wrong, Jack?" his Mom asked.
"The box is gone," he said.
"What box? " Mom asked.
"There was a small gold box that he kept locked on top of his desk. I must have asked him a thousand times what was inside. All he'd ever tell me was 'the thing I value most,'" Jack said.
It was gone. Everything about the house was exactly how Jack remembered it, except for the box. He figured someone from the Belser family had taken it.
"Now I'll never know what was so valuable to him," Jack said. "I better get some sleep. I have an early flight home, Mom."
It had been about two weeks since Mr. Belser died. Returning home from work one day Jack discovered a note in his mailbox. "Signature required on a package. No one at home. Please stop by the main post office within the next three days," the note read.
Early the next day Jack retrieved the package. The small box was old and looked like it had been mailed a hundred years ago. The handwriting was difficult to read, but the return address caught his attention.
"Mr. Harold Belser" it read.
Jack took the box out to his car and ripped open the package. There inside was the gold box and an envelope. Jack's hands shook as he read the note inside. "Upon my death, please forward this box and its contents to Jack Bennett. It's the thing I valued most in my life." A small key was taped to the letter. His heart racing, as tears filling his eyes, Jack
carefully unlocked the box. There inside he found a beautiful gold pocket watch. Running his fingers slowly over the finely etched casing, he unlatched the cover.
Inside he found these words engraved: "Jack, Thanks for your time! Harold Belser."
"The thing he valued most...was...my time."
Jack held the watch for a few minutes, then called his office and cleared his appointments for the next two days. "Why?" Janet, his assistant asked.
"I need some time to spend with my son," he said. "Oh, by the way, Janet...thanks for your time!"
"Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take but by the moments that take our breath away,"
Think about this. You may not realize it, but it's 100% true.

Soulful relationship...
Well, just receive this from my email from a fellow classmate of mine... Hope you people enjoy it. Will be very bogged down until my exams are over. I would be having exams from the 24th of April to the 7th of May. Do pray for me, people! Thanks a lot! :"P
A SOULFUL RELATIONSHIP
If you're not married yet, share this with a friend. If you are married, share it with your spouse or other married couples and reflect on it.
An African proverb states, "Before you get married, keep both eyes open, and after you marry, close one eye."
Before you get involved and make a commitment to someone, don't let lust, desperation, immaturity, ignorance, pressure from others or a low self-esteem, make you blind to warning signs. Keep your eyes open, and don't fool yourself that you can change someone or that what you see as faults aren't really important.
Once you decide to commit to someone, over time his or her flaws, vulnerabilities, pet peeves, and differences will become more obvious.
If you love your mate and want the relationship to grow and evolve, you've got to learn to close one eye and not let every little thing bother you. You and your mate have many different expectations, emotional needs, values, dreams, weaknesses, and strengths. You are two unique individual children of God who have decided to share a life together.
Neither of you are perfect, but are you perfect for each other?
Do you bring out the best in each other?
Do you compliment and compromise with each other, or do you compete, compare, and control? What do you bring to the relationship? Do you bring past relationships, past hurt, past mistrust, past pain? You can't take someone to the altar to alter him or her. You can't make someone love you or make someone stay.
If you develop self-esteem, spiritual discernment, and "a life", you won't find yourself making someone else responsible for your happiness or responsible for your pain.
Manipulation, control, jealousy, neediness, and selfishness are not the ingredients of a thriving, healthy, loving and lasting relationship! Seeking status, sex, wealth, and security are the wrong reasons to be in a relationship. What keeps a relationship strong?
Communication, intimacy, trust, a sense of humour, sharing household tasks, some getaway time without business or children and daily exchanges (a meal, shared activity, a hug, a call, a touch, a note).
Leave a nice message on the voicemail or send a nice email.
Sharing common goals and interests. Growth is important. Grow together, not away from each other, giving each other space to grow without feeling insecure. Allow your mate to have outside interest.
You can't always be together. Give each other a sense of belonging and assurances of commitment. Don't try to control one another. Learn each other's family situation. Respect his or her parents regardless.
Don't put pressure on each other for material goods. Remember for richer or for poorer. If these qualities are missing, the relationship will erode as resentment, withdrawal, abuse, neglect, dishonesty, and pain replace the passion.
The difference between 'United' and 'Untied' is where you put the “i”.

Vandread!
Well, just finish watching Vandread I, think it is a mighty good show. All thanks to Naruto for the introduction and transferring them to me! There are many very interestong quotes from there, I managed to jot down some and would share them with all of you!
"Even if you think and worry about it, answer don't slways come out. What's important is whether you can laugh with a sign of relief at the end."
"When I stand on my own stage, what dialogue would I be reciting."
"We have been predestined to do certain things. It doesn't matter how high the fence is. If we don't jump over it, we don't have the righ to live. For that we have to walk the walk."
Do ponder about them... Lots of truths in them... Walk the walk... Yosh! For myself, think I will be trying to get the Vandread OST... Not forgetting the LOTR Collection OST and the Gundam Wing OST... Many so many things... Will probably hunt for them after my exams... :"P

Some good news, some bad news... Part and parcel of life... :)
Well, I finally got myself a MP3 player, it is the one that I have always wanted and had my eye on! :) It is a SlimX I RIVER 550. Really one neat model! It can play MP3, CDs plus it is a FM tuner as well! Just used it today for the first day, even though I bought it at the IT show 2004. The price is so fantastic (At least to me!). The retail price is S$325, but I managed to get it at $276.25. Is that great or what? But guess I would really have to have rice and soy sauce for the rest of the month...
That is the piece of good news for myself, but have some rough patches recently with my Final Year Project, oh well, this is the part and parcel of life... There is no way everything goes according to what you wish and will every single time, just going to take it in my stride. Hey, with God on my side, who cares about those that are against me. God will provide a way of escape and see me through! Like I have always said, life is like a chess game. You don't control all 32 pieces on the board, and even the 16 pieces, you got to learn how to make use of them for them to be useful. Moreover you can ONLY MOVE ONE PIECE A TIME. So going to just solve things one at a time! Yosh! :)
Well, have to finish my report by the 17th of March and the programming by 18th of March 1700. May the Lord guide and lead me though all these days of my lives. May I an dmy household serve God and God alone! Yosh!

Finished the book of Judges.
Well have finally finish reading the book of Judges from Chapter 17 to 21, which talks about how Dan obtained their inheritance and the civil war which amost destroyed the tribe of Benjamin...
In that civil war, the Israelites trusted their army (400,000 against 26,000) and the righteousness of their cause, and they did not include God into their planning. All Israel needed a strong disciplinary lesson, and God used their enemies, the sons of Benjamin, to teach it to them.
Thus it is important for us to remember to always to inquire to God first about the all decisions that we are to make. Here is one of my favourites, hope you all would enjoy it as much as I did and ponder on the words as well! Rushing to "beef up" my Final Year Project report... Do take care and keep in touch people! Yosh!

Read Chapter 16 of Judges...
Well, managed to resolved the difficult situation that I was in yesterday. Thank God for answer prayers. Now I have to just clear my FYP report and project by Sunday night latest. Then I would be able to get back to my studies to concentrate on them.
Final presentation and submission of the report is to be on the 17th of March... Time passes real fast, need to get my act together.
Would appreciate it if you people could just remember me in your paryers and continually to prayer for me to have more wisdom and better time management, such that I can somehow shorten the learning curve. Take care and may the Lord watch over al of you.
Today, I read Chapter 16 of Judges where Samson finally relented to Delilah and told her his secret which was recorded in Judges 16:17, "That he told her all his heart, and said unto her. There hath not come a rasor upon mine head; for I have been a Nazarite unto God from my mother's womb: if I be shaven, then my strength will go from me, and I shall become weak, and be like any other man."
Thereafter, he was captured by the Philistines and had his eyes gouged out. However, God hear his prayer and in the end, Samson is avenged. This is recorded in Judges 16:28 - 30, "And Samson called unto the LORD, and said, O Lord GOD, remember me, I pray thee, and strengthen me, I pray thee, only this once, O God, that I may be at once avenged of the Philistines for my two eyes. And Samson took hold of the two middle pillars upon which the house stood, and on which it was borne up, of the one with his right hand, and of the other with his left. And Samson said, Let me die with the Philistines. And he bowed himself with all his might; and the house fell upon the lords, and upon all the people that were therein. So the dead which he slew at his death were more than they which he slew in his life."
Let us remember always not to stray from God... No matter how far we strayed, it is important to note that God watches over us always. Take care and God bless. God answers prayers, remember that. Yosh! :)

Give thanks...
Well, just got into another tough situation. However, not matter what I thank God for all the things that He have blessed me with. May I always keep true to my mission statement: Me and my household serve God alone. Do continue to pray for me, people! I am keeping all of you in prayer as well. May each of you find the meaning of life and the Truth that will guide you forever and ever! Yosh!
Remember to say 'thanks':
"God gave you a gift of 86,400 seconds today. Have you used one to say 'thank you'?"
"Silent gratitude isn't much use to anyone"
"The hardest arithmetic to master is that which enables us to count our blessings."

I am going to P.U.S.H. until something happens.
Harlow everyone, just in the thick of things. Got to have to P.U.S.H. Life have been real tough these day. Hope you people are doing well! For those that are current in deep troubles yourself, remember to P.U.S.H. Yosh!
An article that encourages us, "A man was sleeping at night in his cabin. When suddenly his room filled with light and God appeared. The Lord told the man he had work for him to do and showed him a large rock in front of his cabin. He ask him to push against the rock with all his might.
So the man did day after day for many years but could not move the rock and discouraged. Then, Satan gave an impression to the man that the task was impossible and he was a failure. Then the man said, Lord what is wrong? Why am I failing? I did my best with all my strength to push the rock but not moving even half a millimeter.
Then God said to the man, I ask you to serve me. And your task was to push against the rock not to move the rock. Now come to me with your strength spent, thinking that you have failed. Your arms and muscles are strong, Your hands are callused from constant pressure, your legs have become massive and hard through opposition you have grown so much.
True, you have not moved the rock. Your calling was to be obedient and to push and to exercise your faith and trust in my
wisdom. Now I will move the rock. By all means, exercise the faith that moves mountains. But know that it is still God who moves mountains.
When everything seems go wrong? Just P.U.S.H.
When the job gets you down? Just P.U.S.H.
When people don't react the way you think they should? Just P.U.S.H.
When your money is 'gone' and the bills are due? Just P.U.S.H.
When people just don't understand you? Just P.U.S.H.

Story of Samson, Chapter 13 to 15 of Judges...
Greetings to all, have been in a very difficult situation, the workload is mounting with no end in sight. Praying for deliverance from this ordeal and that the Lord would grant me more wisdom and better time management.
Chapter 13 starts with the Israelites falling into sin and thus God gave them into the hands of the Philistines for 40 years. Subsequently, an angel of God appeared to Manoah and his wife, fortelling the birth Samson. Samson was to be a Nazirite to God, where it is commanded that no razor shall come upon his head.
In Chapter 14, the Bible tells of Samson wanting to take a wife of the Philistines. This was however, the plan of God. "However, his father and mother did not know that it was of the Lord, for He was seeking an occasion against the Philistines. Now the Philistines were ruling over Israel." Judges 14:4.
Finally, in chapter 15, it talks about how God use Samson to burn the Philistine crops and killed the Philistines.
Hope everyone is in a better shape than me. May the Lord continually watch over each and everyone of you. That all of us would come to God and serve Him, being in the centre of His will. Yosh!

Story of Ant and Grasshopper...
Got an interesting article from iMaGeR through the email, think it is pretty interesting, so do read it through! Anyway, have been up pretty late these days to rush finish 2 reports which I just finish. Do continue to pray for me people! Yosh! Keep in touch!
Once upon a time, there lived an ant and a grasshopper. The grasshopper does nothing else but jump around and play. On the other hand, the ant is so hardworking, looking for food all day long and store them in it's nest.
Looking at his hardworking friend working so hard, the grasshopper ask, "Hey, Ant! U dun have to relax ah? Always busy one. Come and play with me lah. "To which the ant replied, "I can't lah I have to store all these food." "Haiyah! Relax lah. Why u bother storing all these food? When u hungry den go find lah." the grasshopper told the ant again. "Eh,cannot lah. I have to standby for the coming winter season. Then I no need to panick mah. I think u oso must standby u know." the ant telling his friend. "Where got time...I go play better. U wanna store food u go ahead lah. I continue playing ok.. bye!" And hop goes the grasshopper.
The Ant is a hardworking guy... oops i mean insect. Not like the grasshopper who is so lazy. And so as days, weeks, months go by,the winter still has not come yet but the ant is still seen searching and storing food.
The two friends happen to meet again. "Hey Ant! U stil haven't finished storing food ah? Last time all the food all go where? So fast finish ah?" asked grasshopper. "I got keep but all overdue liao. So cannot eat anymore. All because winter not here yet. Now i have to go and look for new food." sighed the ant. "But ant ah.. U dun mind i ask ah.. Did u ever have a thought that Singapore where got winter?" ask the grasshopper again. "AHHHH????!!!!!" the ant was shocked!
THE END.
The moral of the story is whatever you do, better think properly first.Dun anyhow hantam only... :) Sometimes we get too busy in life and following our routine too tightly but most importantly, work towards where you wanna go in your life, what is it that you want, what isit that you REALLY want, what's your dream, is what you are doing now moving towards your dream ? If it's not, dun just keep on working hard n keep on hantam only just because someone in your life told you that this is the way and just because everyone is doing it !! Dun keep on working hard with no direction ....... focus in the direction of your life not your work but your life. Plan your life, Live life cool.
